Leonard and Oscar. Oscar had a better jab, and arguably better one shot power in his hook, but that part is debatable. Leonard way better at literally every other facet of the game. I would even say Leonard in chin, as I dont see Oscar handling Duran, Hearns, and Hagler bombs.
Great example. Back in the day I was a huge Rafa Marquez fan. His win over Tim Austin was epic. Right before he knocked Tim out ..Snowell the trainer shouted across the ring to Marquez's corner "It won't be long now". And his fighter gets ktfo . Rafa was a balls out exciting brawler and Juanma was more methodical. I would say jmm had a better chin. Rafa would knock u out or get knocked out that's what made him exciting.
Trinidad and Cotto. Cotto had better lateral footwork. Trinidad was better at everything else. I even think Trinidad's defense was better.
Yes, cause he was a much better fighter. I never gets why hagler is sometime viewed as a big puncher. He wasn't a powder puff, but i dont think he was in a different category than Crawford power wise
Trinidad and Arguello. Trinidad had better handspeed. I think Arguello was better at everything else.
20-25 years ago, Hagler was overrated as a puncher. Nowadays, he's actually underrated as a puncher. He had more KO power in his right hook than Crawford has in any punch. It's a black mark on Crawford record that he didn't brutally KO a washed up Khan. Picture a fighter as fragile as Khan going 6-7 with a prime Hagler. It wouldn't happen. Youre overrating Bud's pop. Hagler was a bigger hitter.
Crawford has also been the vastly bigger man for years now. Porter is the only person he didn't outweigh on the night.
Ricardo Lopez and Sal Sanchez Lopez was a bigger hitter P4P and had better textbook technique. Sal was much better in every other way.
Conor Benn and Roberto Duran. Oh, what I am saying. Duran doesn't do anything better than this beast.
I think Sal was much more a natural. Lopez was more regimented and schooled, whereas Sanchez combined skills with more natural talent than Finito had.
George Foreman and Pipino Cuevas Cuevas was quicker and had a better left hook, Foreman was better at everything else barring maybe stamina
Tszyu and Michalczewski DM had a better jab, and better stamina. I think Tszyu was better at most everything else.
Tommy Hearns and Donald Curry. Curry a better infighter. I think that's literally his only advantage.
I don't think Curry was a better infighter than Hearns, and I don't think Roy was stronger than Mosley.
Anyone think Lomachenko does much significantly better than Canizales? I think he's clearly more consistent, has a better jab, and has a better, more hungry mindset but I think Canizales might take everything else.
Yeah, he definitely responed to being hit better. You wouldn't see Canizales fucking about pretending to be Roy Jones when he had a guy badly, badly hurt. He'd have got them out of there. He seems to hit significantly harder pound-for-pound, too.
Hopkins and Ward. Ward quicker of hand and foot. I think prime Hopkins was better in every other way.
Cotto had better body punching than Trinidad, or at least a more diverse body attack. Trinidad had a great left hook to body but he underutilized it.
