And GGG isn't Alfonso Gomez, REED. Other than Trout, Canelo has beaten nobody. The corpse of Shane Mosley doesn't count. What GGG did Macklin was very impressive, and though Canelo would likely beat Macklin, I assure you he wouldn't blown him away w/ease. In fact, Macklin would probably provide Canelo with a tough fight. GGG is stronger, and powerful than Canelo, there's really no debating that. That doesn't bode well considering Canelo relies on his power, and strength. Furthermore, whereas Canelo fights in burts, and spurts, GGG is always calm, and steady. Selective with his power shots, but very accurate, excellent punch placement, and of course has fight ending power in either hand. In other hands, he's a nightmare for a smaller stationary fighter such as Canelo. GGG fucks Canelo up.

How Many "Live" Bodies has GGG Faced Again???...Trout's a Better Win than ANYTHING on GGG's Resume...AND, Canelo's Now had the Experience of Fighting Floyd...

How Can Canelo NOT Be More PROVEN???...

Trout is better than anyone Gaybox has beaten, but let's be real, Gaybox would beat the fuck out of Alvarez and Trout on the same night.

Trout is maybe a step ahead of Macklin... similar level of fighter... Canelo barely won and the outcome was influenced by the worst aspects of boxing corruption... GGG completely destroyed Macklin

So now we are going to give Canelo credit for getting humiliated by Mayweather? He gets to be more Proven because he has a one-sided defeat on his ledger while GGG is undefeated???

He's much better than Matthysse, at least technically. He's closer to Marquez in terms of skill and style, like a far more aggressive Marquez. Obviously it's unlikely he's as good, but he's a sort of aggressive counter puncher, and a much better boxer and technical fighter than Lucas, far less basic.

Plus with his power and ring IQ I think he can dominate.

But, I agree that Alvarez has a better win on his resume (Trout), than what GGG has. Macklin was damaged goods prior to facing GGG. I gave Macklin no hope in hell of beating GGG.

Just like Mattttthhhhyyysssse "Fucks Up" Garcia, Right???...

Being "Stronger & More Powerful" than Canelo IS NOT a Guarantee of Victory...Matttttthhhhhhyyyyyysssse Beat Lamont Peterson ALOT more Convincingly than Danny Garcia EVER Would; AND????...So What...There ISN'T a Single Guy GGG's Beaten that REED Would Pick Over Canelo...Not 1...

If Canelo Fought like Brandon Rios, You'd have a Point...But Canelo's More PATIENT, More SCIENTIFIC than You're Giving him Credit For...He FEINTS, he COUNTERS...He Offers RESISTANCE, Something GGG has Yet to Encounter...It's VERY Easy to Be "Calm & Steady" when NOBODY has So Much as Hit You back Yet...Nobody w/Canelo's Level of Pop, for Certain...

    REED ISN'T Even Saying Canelo BEATS GGG, it's Probably a 50-50 Fight @ this Point...Again, GGG's UNPROVEN...That's a FACT...Saying GGG "Kills" Canelo is HYPERBOLIC @ Best, Bruh...

No, he Gets to be More Proven Because he's CLEARLY Fought 2 HIGHER Caliber Guys than ANYBODY GGG's Faced...Canelo's Actually Been Had In-Ring ADVERSITY...He's Actually Been Hit & Hurt...

Again, REED ISN'T Even Favoring Canelo Over GGG...Still, Guys are Getting Bent Out of Shape @ REED Calling him UNPROVEN???...He Is...Hell, Curtis Stevens will ARGUABLY Be the Best Guy GGG's EVER Fought...

I don't see how fighting a guy and getting completely embarassed and outclassed proves anything other than your limitations

If Golovkin went out and fought Andre Ward and lost 120-108, would that make he and Canelo even?

We'll See if that Holds Up When Guys Start Hitting him Back...Marquez Climbed off the Deck, Endured Broken Noses, Cuts, etc., & REMAINED an Aggressive Counter Puncher All the While...

NONE of Us Knows HOW GGG will React...Thus Faaaaaar, he's had an Early Kostya Tszyu Level of POISE & CALMNESS about Him...That was All Fine & Dandy Until Vince Phillips Stopped Smoking Crack Loooooooooong Enough to Muster the Conditioning to STOP Tszyu...

Not Sure if that'd Make them Even, but It'd be HARDER to Call GGG UNPROVEN or UNTESTED, that's for Sure...Plenty of Young Fighters have Learned from 1 Sided Losses to Crafty Ol' Veterans...

This WASN'T the Type of TAXING Loss that Shortens a Career, so Canelo Can't Help but to Be BETTER from It...

This is absolutely true. From his amateur career we can tell that GGG has much more defensive technique, ring cutting skill and all around abilities than your average big puncher that is walking through cans (David Lemieux style). However, amateur career doesn't tell us anything about what happens if he gets hit, and that is a very big question mark on every fighter

Also agreed. Unless fighters confidence is based solely on the "I can't be beaten" myth (as was the case with Naseem Hamed and some other flashy guys), then this type of defeats will most probably be helpful

I half agree with you on this one. But to me, what is more worrysome for Canelo is that he wasn't able to alter his style a bit for fighting Floyd, when we knew his usual patient approach wouldn'T work.. Even worst, he made no adjustement when it was obvious his plan A wasn't working. It seems Canelo will be the kind of fighter who relies on his gifts to win fights and who will lose when it's not enough.

I thought Angulo gave a terrific effort vs Lara. If he's able to muster that kind of performance vs Canelo, an upset wouldn't surprise me

Yeah, but he took more punishment against Lara than you think. It wasn't JUST the one straight left that ended it that he took. Lara was tagging him all night.

Canelo will beat the hell out of Angulo.

Right now some people are writing him off just because he got outboxed by an all-time great on his game. I expect Canelo to do good things if he stays at 154, I think he can beat most around the division not named Floyd.

Angulo did look better than expected Vs Lara, and it seems he didn't break his orbital bone afterall.
