Setanta used to be the business. I think I was paying £15 a month or something. FA CUP, Premier League, Boxing, you name it. Then El Credit Crunch came along and everything went down the old toiletto.

As for your first question, no, you are not technically 100% accurate....you can't get Boxnation WITHOUT a Sky box and an active viewing card. I'm not sure you necessarily have to be a SKY Customer as such.

All they ask for is the viewing card number, no SKY account details at all.

As it happens, I'm not through yet, so I'm going to have to keep at it. Boxnation definitely got the money though. Buncey probably spent it on chasers.

That's annoying, I don't have Sky or Virgin, but I would like to subscribe to Boxnation, even if it was a decent quality online feed.

Well ideally I'd like it in HD on my plasma, but what can you do

It's not available in HD in any case, though they say they are recording programmes in HD so they can be re-broadcast in HD. They also say they are adding an online stream which they hope to have up soon.

Ah I see, that would be good, when they get a solid stream up I'll subscribe.

I know, I know, but you wouldn't get close, he has old-school Jewish Ghetto Benny-Leonard style moves, Romanza's money on him is to black-and-white you into oblivion with grainy, shuffling moves from the "Golden Years" of Boxing....:nono:

Nothing doing at my end, still.

If I miss Saturday I will cancel the entire thing, 6 months or no 6 months.

I have a feeling this is more of "Put Paddy on the long finger"......

Right, rang them again today, still no picture. I won't bother with them tomorrow if it doesn't get sorted by tonight, I'll just ring my credit card company and cancel the whole thing, if they need 4 or 5 days to get their act together, that's too bad.

Okay, slight update, I got finally directed to a boxnation page that says "You're in" so that that is new.

    Still no picture tho.

@ Slice/Jimmy: how long did it take you guys for your picture to come in? Minutes, hours?

Sorry to keep at this....starting to feel like the fat kid who can't get picked for football.

I had an easy process with this. It came on within 5 mins. I can't believe the trouble you're going through to get this sorted.

And this paywizard is a load of shit. It's hard to tell, just looking at it, what has and has not been paid for, because it tries to represent two different transactions, a top up on one hand, and a payment on the other hand. :shit:

Anyways, will keep going for the moment.

The problem is it can take 4 hours for a signal to kick in. So they just sit there repeating this line......"leave it for a while, Sir". :shit:

One thing did really worry me....when I rang the guy and spoke to him, he said he/his team would be there until 5Am on Sunday

Obviously, they are way way way behind.

I wish I could install a like satellite dish or something, so I could get Sky and Boxnation and what not.

I'll just have to make do with streams.

Good watch, aint it! Have you watched part 2? Cotto had me going in part 1. Really hope he wins this. It kinda is setting it up for a Cotto win - his father passing and aiming for revenge and justice, but it aint gonna be easy at all.

Part 2 is on right now, so I am on for sure, now I need to double check that they didn't get paid twice.

Apart from that, I am all set for a night of boxing tomorrow.

Your flat doesn't have the right angle to mount and point a dish?

In the UK certain councils prohibit dishes on old buildings. The flat i stay in is about 120 yrs old - no dishes on the roof. Cant see why mex couldnt get cable tho.:dunno:
