Hell, Anderson Silva was stopped by a complete unknown in a boxing match, but I wouldn't exactly call Silva 'chinny'...

And if anyone pretends to know the details of fights that Cyborg lost early in his career in Brazil, I would love to hear them.

And I'll add this to the mix, Cyborg has never been stopped due to punches at 170 pounds. And despite fighting 15 pounds over where he should have been, Cyborg traded with Manhoef.

The bottom line is that Cyborg is a middle of the pack fighter with a below mediocre record, but calling him 'chinny' is just plain uninformed.

When Aoki won via gogoplata versus Hansen, Hellboy wasn't even close to anyone's top 10 LW's. Hansen had barely made a name for himself and had lost 2 of his last 3 fights. Period. That's the most ridiculous attempt at revising history that I've ever seen.

That being said, when Diaz locked in the gogoplata on Gomi, the Fireball Kid was around everyone's list of top LW's.

So, based on TLC's child-like rationale, Diaz is the better grappler because he landed the gogo on the higher ranked fighter.

LOL..... This shit is too easy. It might be considered child abuse.

I agree with joony, it is the small gloves and a combination of landing his best shot and Cyborg being gassed.

Maybe he isn't chinny, but his defense and conditioning is bad enough where he gets stopped and/or multiple times in his career.

Daley will walk through Diaz's girly punches.

Also you should've included the part where he got knocked down from Gomi's punch.

Diaz got his orbital broken in the fight. Gomi can punch. Yet somehow Nick didn't sleep on the canvas like Aoki did. He came out the next round and sunk in the finishing move.

I guess that's the real difference between Aoki and Diaz.. Right?

Which is why I specified 'when Aoki beat Hansen via gogoplata'.. The whole "gogoplata versus top 10 competition' was your moronic point.

    Learn to read.

The point was when Aoki beat Hansen via gogoplata, Hansen was not even near top 10 in the division.

However when Diaz used the gogoplata to put Gomi to sleep, Gomi was a fairly clear top 5.

    Learn to read. It's easy.

So answer the question. Who was the top 10 guy that Aoki beat via gogoplata? We've already established it wasn't Hellboy. Certainly you're not trying to say that Nagata with his 4-3 record was top 10? Right?

So again, who was the top 10 fighter when Aoki won via gogoplata?

So let me get this straight, TLC, you are trying to discredit Diaz for "taking" Gomi's best shot and coming back to sub him out?:dunno: Classic.

And you give Aoki credit for beating Hansen 2 out or 3 times yet Hansen has never beat anyone in the top 10, possibly even top 20. Well unless you consider his win over Aoki.

seriously homey, just stop. You look like a fool Especially when you try to insult with your corny one liners after the fact.

It's funny, but that fight is the one that made me a huge fan of Nick Diaz. First, he got tagged, hurt and dropped yet never folded. And second, the way he locked in the sub basically as Gomi was taking him down was impressive.

Also, I was never a big fan of his brother Nate until his fight with Melvin Guiliard. Basically for the same reason. Melvin, who is one of the hardest punchers in MMA, nailed Diaz with a right hand in the first round. Diaz went down hard. But he got up, recovered and , like Nick versus Gomi, locked in a sub as Melvin tried to take him down in the 2nd.

Like them or hate them, Nick and Nate can take a shot. Gomi and Guillard can pop yet the Diaz boys took flush shots and didn't go anywhere.

I can't see why anyone hates the Diaz brothers. Sure they come off like idiots at times, and if you don't like the attitudes, that's cool, but they can fight and they have exciting styles. They are never boring to watch.

I don't care if they are top 10 or top 100 or what, I will always enjoy a Diaz fight.

Add me to the list also.

When you have two kids that have mad BJJ skills yet they choose to box, how can you not love that as an MMA fan?

I mentioned the Gomi and Guillard fights. In both cases the Diaz brothers chose to stand and trade with huge punchers. They only got the submissions after Gomi and Guillard went for the take down. Nick and Nate would have stood with them for the entire fight.

    Gotta love that.
