Greg Jones (RB) Jacksonville Jaguars. The guy is built like a God and he is ridiculously powerful. Besides, he is Joe Frazier's cousin. One time when I was in the Jags lockeroom, I asked him about boxing and the money he'd make simply because he's Joe's cousin; he just gets sheepish, he's a very humble man.

He's the only cat in the whole lockeroom that used to talk boxing with me. He even told me that he'd come to the next amatuer show that I put on.

It's not a matter of who would be good. Its just that our biggest and best athletes are off in more lucrative sports.

How many high schools do you know of that have boxing programs? How many do you know of have football and basketball teams?

boxing has always and will forever be a poor man's sport. The mayority of the greatest boxers ever came from poor backgrounds. That's why you still see latinos, asians and minorities rising up in the sport.

And the pathetic thing is, European schools, all grind thier children through compulsary amatuer boxing programs kind've like the way the ancient Spartans used to groom the whole populous for thier armies, and what the fuck have they go to show for it?.. Wladimir Klitschko,.... ? Whatever poofters couldn't handle the ring in Eutopia obviously go and play soccer, a game, that would also be thoroughly raped and pilliged by the United States, if Gridiron and basketball didn't get in the way.

During the Hornets-Warriors game on ABC the courtside reporter mentioned that David West does a lot of boxing training in the off-season.

Why get your head beaten around and severely risk your health, when you can bounce a ball with virtually no physical contact? Easy money baby, eaaaaasy monneeeyyyy, the way I see it, Americans are getting smarter, while Europeans are getting stupider, even still, whater y'all got to show for it?.. Wlad?.. Sidorenko?..

I always thought Jevon Kearse woulda been a scary heavyweight.. Tall and athletic and extremely strong.

Boxing requires an individual mentality, versus Football being a team sport. James Toney chose boxing over a football scholarship because he hated coaches and having teamates..

Ed Too Tall Jones was a bit of a side show as a boxer.

Surprised nobody brought up the kid playing for Notre Dame.

Ken Norton Jr. had a decent football career.

Julius Long (7') has like 3 siblings/cousins playing or played in the NBA.

Travis Walker is doing well as a boxer with a late start. He chose boxing after an injury ended his football career. His first GG coach was his FB coach.

The age to choose boxing or football is probably 15-18. Boys in that age group have one thing on their minds, getting laid. Football players get the best looking cheerleaders. Boxers are told they have to abstain before fights. Easy choice.

Also, looking for the American savior for heavyweights... Michael Hunter, beat two Russians in the recent duals by very wide margins. He's got pedigree, he's got quick feet, fast hands, is strong. Only lacks height. Lost to the Cuban in the finals of Trinidad qualifier. He's gonna be the next... Michael "Bounty" Hunter..

The kid from Notre Dame is going to play football. I'm pretty sure he'll get drafted within the first 4 rounds.

Julius Long would have been better off playing basketball, but he probably can't do that either.
