    Again, it's difficult for me to see this from the perspective of a non MMA fan.

    To an MMA fan, Jones-Silva would be the better matchup stylistically and from a weight perspective easier as Silva has already knocked dudes out at 205.

    That being said, I have no idea which fight sells more tickets. All I know is Jones is behind GSP in terms of their latest events and PPV sales. GSP, despite his style, always sells tickets. I think only Brock Lesnar events out-sold GSP over the last 2 years with Jones being 3rd. I might be wrong.

    I have yet to make a single excuse other than GSP's injury.

    The idea of weight isn't an excuse. Different weight classes is the reason they haven't fought yet. It is not an excuse for them never fighting. Be clear about that.

    I think that's pretty simple to see.

    Edit---By the way, keep in mind, all of the useless shit you're posting is prior to GSP blowing out his knee.

    Ummm. Yeah, an injury that keeps a fighter out of action for almost 2 years is a "BIGfuckingDEAL"

    But for the sake of being objective, answer this. When GSP returns, would you rather see an immediate Silva fight or GSP versus the Condit-Diaz winner.

    It's ok for GSP to choose not to move up in weight and fight Silva. It's not okay for Manny to fight the other champion in his same division. There is a difference between the two. Fair enough?

    No shit.. Chosing not to fight a guy holding a belt in the same division is different than choosing not to fight a guy in a division 15 pounds heavier.

    I really don't get how people can't see that.

    I want to see GSP-Silva and Jones-Silva as bad as anyone but I have no issue with them choosing not to move up.

    WHo said nobody wants to see Silva/GSP? I dont know about TRP, but i never said that. I just said it wasnt as requested as May/PBF. That is true.

    Manny and PFB do fight at the same weight. They are champs of the same division. You cant say that isnt true.

    Exactly. Even Andrew seems to understand why they havent fought.
    It's just commen sense that it's not comparable. I would expect this kind of argument from RJJ, but not an MMA fan like Reed, who seems to be arguing just for the sake of arguing. As if he thinks the whole sport of boxing is under some kind of attack because of Manny/Floyd's avoiding each other like the plague.

    GSP and Silva DO NOT.


    See how simple it is to see the difference?


    I know it hurts but the biggest fight possible in boxing is between 2 guys holding belts in the same weight division. And yet they've danced around each other and avoided the fight.

    Meanwhile, in the UFC, the Champions face the top challengers in their weight class. PERIOD.

    You can make bullshit excuses but one sport keeps churning out top level match ups while the other keeps waiting for Manny and Floyd to fight.

    To be clear, I said nobody is crying for GSP-Silva NOW due to GSP's injury and the fact that he will be basically losing his title in less than 2 weeks.

    That doesn't mean it's not a big fight eventually and it certainly doesn't mean I don't want to see it.

    The point is that TODAY it is not the Floyd-Manny of MMA. It's just not.

    And by the way, I was the absolute biggest critic on here about Silva-Belfort. Belfort fought for a title at 185 despite NEVER winning a UFC fight at that weight. It was horseshit and I said so.
