and again the tax plan beef is a political discourse. I, like most reasonable people, understand that taxes are necessary to maintain a nation, especially one as large as the US.
I've given my reasons why I don't support Obama. Among them... He sponsors the Global Poverty Act, which does nothing to benefit America, gives the UN Power over our money, and will cost the country close to a Trillion Dollars. He supports Amnesty for Illegal Aliens. He supports a Healthcare system we can't afford. He will raise taxes and cancel the existing tax cuts. He will not get us out of Iraq, and his recent statements about Al Queda having a base in Iraq makes me wonder if he even has a clue what's going on over there. And the lastest is the recent story about Nafta, Canada, and Obama making promises he doesn't intend to keep. Now some of these reasons are fact, like the Global Tax and repealing the tax cuts. Some are 'political opinions' that I disagree with like immigration and health care, and some are speculation, like Iraq and Nafta, but at least I'm giving you guys reasons, real tangible reasons why I don't support Obama. I've yet to see any real reasons from any of the Obama supporters why they want to vote for him. I hear buzzwords like 'change', 'inspiration' and 'potential', but nothing real. So there are my reasons for not liking Obama. We've got numerous threads discussing Obama on this forum, maybe one of you guys can give me a tangible reason why you support him, without using empty buzzwords? TFK
Well I would but I don't necessarily support him. I don't really support anyone because I'm not following the elections. I'm really just basically along for the ride and was just going to vote for Ron Paul because Petre told me it was a good idea. :: Like you though, I would likewise like to finally hear some good reasons on why Obama is good for the country. Come on guys, TFK stated his side of the argument, I'd like to hear from his supporters now.
I'm NOT an Obama supporter but I will give you ONE reason why I would want him to win. Because it would make racist rednecks go insane to have a black president. You HAVE to know that Obama is going to DESTROY McCain in head to head debates, so anyone who is still on the fence is going to see those verbal massacres and probably go with Barack.
:: :bears: Keep in mind this is the same joke of guy who used to support Bush...If you were here back in the beginning of this forum he used to post about how scary middle eastern men were and we need Bush to protect us against the Arabs. Also this is the time when Dubblechin (whos from Chicago) started a thread called "Barack Obama will be the first black president of the US" before ANYONE heard of Barack.
well.. maybe 1 out of 2 polls will be right?:dunno: I wish Paul would have done better for real.. but he's not.. and we have to move on and decide who of our choices WOULD be best...
I wish Paul would've done better, not even so much because I wanted him to be president, but because it would've given hope to others who come after him, who have ideas and goals that are outside of what the normal politican does. For as much as Obama talks about change, the only change he will bring is a different person making all the same decisions. Honestly, what does Obama offer that hasn't been said, done or proposed before? Paul came off as such a 'kook' to many people because his ideas were so against the government status quo, that people didn't know how to react to them. Now, I'm not saying all of Paul's ideas or opinions were good ones, or could have worked, but at least they were a different road then what everyone else has offered up. But it looks like it'll be more of the same, regardless of who wins now. TFK
Insane McCain ... I wonder who will push him over the edge ... <embed src='http://www.cbs.com/thunder/swf/rcpHolderCbs.swf?vert=News&autoPlayVid=false&releaseURL=http://release.theplatform.com/content.select?pid=YhfnIIe4y9GmTtwd8HS86szi4YxDnQjN' name='cbsPlayer' allowFullScreen='true' width='506' height='494' wmode='transparent' type='application/x-shockwave-flash' pluginspage='http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer' /> This is the Republican Nominee ???
You claim revolution, yet here you are...a solid member of the conservative status quo. You can hate Clinton for being a bitch, you can hate Obama for inexperience...but McCain is INSANE...he might lead us to nuclear war one day. opcorn:

It's so obvious why most of you here hate Hillary...it's because she's a woman...and that scares the shit out of you macho posters, . "Oh no, I don't want a bitch to be my commander in chief!!!" ::
RK ... Do you honestly think Obama or Clinton will get us out of Iraq ? We know what they'll do to the economy .... more taxes continued spending , more damage to the peoples rights as they think it's their job to tell everyone how to live. Obama or Clinton will not remove our troops from Iraq. :nono: Who will do the least damage to this country ? McCain. And I'm by far not a supporter of that nut.
Umm, no he's not. He's no more qualified for it than the other 3. The deal is, since McCain is status quo, he's viewed as the "safe" choice. I mean in the eyes of a typical right winger, it would be too "radical" to have either Obama or Hillary up there. His policies are NO BETTER than Obama's and you can argue worse because he wants to stay in Iraq for many more years and he wants to keep the tax cuts for the rich. And lets not mention that he has ZERO CHARISMA and is old as hell. He's not more qualified for the presidency than the other two. Lets get real.
