again, when will we know which gloves they are wearing and if those gloves are so good for floyd why has he opted not to wear them in a number of fights?

floyd's punch output has decreased over the past few years. it was especially apparent in his last fight, but that could've been due to the move up in weight.

even against judah, he picked his shots and landed clean, but didn't throw all that many punches. same w/ the baldomir fight.

i wonder if floyd will be able to keep up w/ hatton's grueling pace (which mostly consists of grappling).

interesting fight, although it might not be exciting.

There is only two ways Floyd is stopping Hatton.
That is on some bullshit cut or if Hatton for some reason gets so tired he goes down from 80% exhaustion.
I'm not sure either happens. Though Floyd will win this fight without really winning it via some corny ass UD in a fight he really didn't deserve to even win.

Floyd is going to be the grappler in this fight just like he was the grappler Vs DLH.
Watch and see , Floyd was the clincher Vs DLH and he is going to be the clincher Vs Hatton.
Floyd can move but he can't move all the time or he will get tired.
The times he does not move , I garantee he initiates a clinch on Hatton.

Floyd "clinched" Oscar maybe 3 times in that fight. THREE. You're a madman.

It's Something Negotiated CONTRACTUALLY btwn the Opposing Camps...

N Floyd's Last 2 Fights (Baldomir, DeLa) he DIDN'T Wear "Winning" Gloves & Looked LESS than Stellar...

DeLa Rapes EVERYBODY @ the Negotiating Table & Baldomir was Riding that "Linear Champ" Wave...Floyd Made a Larger Purse than Baldomir, but Probably had to Make Concessions...

N Both of those Bouts, REED Didn't Know which Gloves Floyd was Wearing til FIGHTNIGHT...

What I don't get it is, in Vegas the fighters can pick whatever gloves they want. They approved this rule to AVOID camps fighting over gloves, or for it to prevent a fight from happening. I never understood why Floyd conceded that to Oscar.

I understand that he just kept saying "Yes" to give Oscar no excuses to not make the fight, but you do that with money, ring size, and all that other shit. When a state commission says you can pick whatever you want and the other camp can't say shit, there's no longer a need to give in to that demand.

Anyway, long story short, Floyd simply isn't up on the rules if he allows Hatton/GPHM to dictate glove choice to him for this fight. He should go on record NOW and say what gloves he's going to wear, and if Hatton and Goldies bitch about it, they're the ones that look like they're looking for a way out.

I guess it was something that was written into a legal contract and Floyd didn't wanna get sued by GGP.

But it's the kind of power Tszyu had....and that's one thing we can't deny here: as shot/old as Tszyu may have been in Summer '05 - he still was a P4P puncher in a higher league than Witter.

Anyway, basically, you're saying, if Hatton liquidates one of the best P4P fighters of our generation in Mayweather....he himself gets liquidated against Witter?

    Remarkable.

a "legal" contract isn't legal until all parties sign it. If Floyd signed it without reading, that's his problem. But I honestly think he did it just to shut Oscar up and leave no reason to pull the plug on the fight.

are you really that THICK that you can't understand what i am saying. styles make fights and hatton wouldnt even see witters punches coming which would make the impact all the more pleasing to my eyes and all the more powerful on hattons cranium.

are you saying that it is 100% certain that hatton won't get liquidated by witter on the condition that hatton liquidates floyd. sounds like that to me. :shit:

or maybe the gloves aren't as big of a deal as reed makes out.

if floyd wouldnt enforce them in the biggest fight of his entire career, they can't be THAT important to him.

I wouldn't say that, just that it's not as important as a guaranteed $13 million (and, as he says, still making money off that fight)

  Just in the clip alone that you state "doesn't have all the action" Floyd clinches Oscar like 15 times.

Considering the fact that they were cutting out all the clinching , thats is a lot !

Nope, but I suspect you're incredibly thick or deluded to suggest that Witter's shots come at trickier angles or faster than Mayweather's.

If Hatton liquidates Mayweather (which he won't), then there's still time for him to liquidate Witter instead (which he will).

    As you were, arsehole.

2 basic problems with your posts.

    1. witter shots WOULD come at trickier angles than floyds as he switches about 20 times per round.

    2. witter hits harder than floyd so your point about floyds shots being trickeir and faster than witters proving that witter wouldn't ko hatton has no legs to stand on.

There's an APPARENT Difference N THE WAY Floyd Fights w/the "Winning" Gloves vs. w/Out Them...

"Grand-mother" I'm afraid Dympeople, let's face it, Fraud has an androgynous style, he moves like a panicking woman, he runs away and turns his back to the danger, that's what a woman being persued by an abusive man does, coupled with the fact that he's dancing like a faggot on national television every week, on the contrary it doesn't look too good now does it:doh: .

It's a very witty picture and well done and all that...my only problem with it is that anyone browsing this topic from work isn't expecting to see a NSFW picture in this forum and on this thread.

In any event...short of entering the fight with a broken hand, Floyd will win unless Hatton breaks his ribs with a bodyshot.

Hatton is a live underdog (for teh reasons already given) but Floyd has too much in his arsenal for Ricky Hatton as a general rule.

Plus on top of all of Floyd's unreal talent, he seems to have a SOLID chin as well. :eeeek:

Why would anyone browse this forum or this topic from work?
You're supposed to WORK during your work hours, you know.
So, unless your work consists of browsing boxing forums, you have no business reading this topic during work hours in the first place. :dunno:

Um, did you actually pay attention to the De la Hoya fight, or did you just look at the screen for five seconds a round and mutter to yourself?

No way is Hatton taylor made for Floyd. Boxers are made for Floyd. If Floyd has a weakness it's his workrate IMO. A beast like Hatton will win rounds just because he threw so damn much punches and Floyd was to busy playing defense. I'm liking Hatton to upset.

The idiots picking Hatton are the same idiots who picked Barrera against Pacquiao. They're just being different for the sake of maaaaaybe looking smart in a prediction.
