Great, Super Champion of the WBO and WBA

Not to be confused with "Champion Emeritus" status of the WBC

The IBF is failure, but at least they don't have crap like Super Champion

It's funny with Kellerman always pushing the ring magazine bullshit. Asking Diaz several times to fight "The Champion" Casamayor. Diaz said yes he amongst others. Then when Diaz mentioned the other guys Kellerman again pushed the issue with Casamayor.

Don King will probably have him fight one of the mandatories and then they will look for the winner of Morales/David Diaz.

You have to wonder whether or not he was pushing Ring magazine's HBO-friendly Championship Policy in order to get an HBO contract, which is what he wanted more than anything.

Diaz proved last night he's not "all" hype. Still, I think the first real puncher at 135 he faces could put an end to his run.

Let's not forget. Freitas never knocked anyone out at 135. And Chico took his best shots for 10 rounds.

Julio Diaz is a real puncher at 135 - harder than Freias, and qicker. He could possibly knock Juan out. it'd be a good fight. that's the fight i'd like to see get made.

You're just hoping its on HBO and the ensuing confusion uses up whats left of Larrys brainpower.

He is probably going to have to fight a mandatory next in the summer, then another fight late in the year is what he told me.
I kind of think Morales may retire if he gets by David Diaz, but Juan against either one of those guys would be action packed, but I think he beats either guy.
I have been a fan of Casamayor's going on twenty years now, twenty years is a long time for a fighter.
Joel was World Amateur Champion when Juan was a baby.
That would be a helluva fight, but I agree that it won't happen soon.

Juan fighting Morales or David would be a good fight and winnable. Juan fighting Casa is a bad matchup IMO. Even if he wins, it won't be impressive.

    I agree.
Casamayor is an outstanding fighter, very polished and very tough who has shown very little, if any, signs of slippage or pronounced deterioration of skills.

a mandatory this summer is a good idea. keep him active in front of us. another unification fight for the later fight in the year would be perfect. Juan can clean up the abc belts in this division. Then get a decent money fight with Pac lined up. :cheer:

Wow. If you cant tell the differance between the Casa of today, and the Casa of 4-5 years ago, then your blind as hell! Casa is past it, he's nowhere near as quick or as sharp as he once was. Hell, I think he was past it in the Castillo fight. I think you know this as well, your just hyping him so that when Juan beats him you can say how he beat a "prime" Casa.
