Just think....if he wins, Witter could come up to 147 to challenge him for all the marbles!

    :eeeek:

Hatton will never fight Witter out of fear. I think we all know that by now.

It doesn't matter who wins, i think either result is "good for boxing" as long as the fight doesn't suck.

    :nono:

Leonard and Ali became bigger after avenging defeats.

Then again, Floyd ain't Leonard or Ali.

Yes, in theory it is...but I have to confess that for this fight I'm not thinking about "what's better for boxing."

Plus, if PBF beats Hatton I get the distinct impression he will not fight Cotto, Cintron, Williams, even Mosley, etc.

My dislike for Mayweather doesn't extend to what he does in the ring and it won't cloud my judgment; but I confess I'm rooting for Hatton - his character/personality is one I like more.

    Peace.

do not gratify the comment with legitimacy, Orthodox. Attraction's sight is diminished by the teabag Witter has placed over his eyes.

From day 1 I've been 100% right so far about Witter... proven.

Ask Hatton why he was afraid to fight him.

Can't wait til Floyd comprehensively beats hook n hold

From the outside...I can see why. But I grew up with people like Hatton and trust me...they're not as nice as your would think. Floyd is more likely to be a nicer person believe it or not.

    I'm rooting HEAVILY for Floyd.

I believe that Floyd would fight Cotto if he beats Hatton. I don't think he'd be able to resist the challenge.

    Absolutely.

I encounter cunts like Hatton regularly.

Hope he gets killed in the ring. I really do.

On the flipside, I grew up with people like Floyd.

Guys who talked the most shit, 9 times out of 10 folded like A-Rod in the playoffs when the shit got tough.

Guys you had to worry the most about were the ones who didn't say much.

Things went rough against Castillo in their first fight when Floyd had an injured left hand/shoulder and Castillo was nailing him with body shots. I didn't see him fold.

Floyd's heart and toughness are underrated unfairly...

Floyds won all of his big fights. A-Rod has done nothing under the October lights. Bad statement from a hater.

Right his toughness is underated. The guy trains like an animal and he has gone into fights with injuries that most would have pulled out with. Everytime he has been hurt, Corley and Judah he came back. Castillo fight was tough for him and he stepped up in the championship rounds.

    I had it even. :dunno:

Floyd won the rematch, solely because he refused to engage Castillo for the first seven or eight rounds. That's how he bitched up in my opinion.

Ask your boy Everlast...you know how much he loved Floyd (moreso than you currently do). He'll tell you the same thing.

He standed and traded the first fight and you had it draw.

In the rematch he bitched it up and you had him winning.

You really don't understand sports. You understand strategys and gameplans right. You gotta do what you gotta do to win.

Floyd didn't stand and trade in the first fight. He circled the first four and tried to stay out of harms way. Compare that with the Corrales fight which was the perfect/brilliant blend of offense and defense. There's nothing remotely similar about how Floyd comparatively fought against those guys.

Castillo caught up with him late (in the first fight) due to his being able to time Floyd with his jab and getting in body shots which clearly bothered Floyd. The fight was MUCH rougher than Floyd wanted and in the rematch went out of his way to avoid getting remotely close to Castillo.

That's what happens when guys know how to take things away from you and make you uncomfortable...that's what Castillo did and that's why he got back into the fight. Floyd didn't have a choice in it, Castillo dictated that to him.

Hell, Floyd was more offensive in the last few rounds of the rematch because Castillo had all but given up trying to run him down. I actually thought Castillo bitched up in the 11th and seemed hurt by a few of Floyd's shots.

Everlast picked Corrales to KO Floyd. Since when did he "love" Floyd moreso than I do? :dunno:

Floyd didn't HAVE to engage Castillo, and so he didn't.

Did Leonard "bitch up" in the second Duran fight?

Meh. I think I evaluate both guys pretty fairly since I'm not a real fan of either of them.

I know what you're getting at with Hatton - but I can only go by what I'm given and what I can see.

Plus, you grew up around people LIKE Hatton....you didn't grow up around HIM.

I've grown up around both types, honestly, both in the U.S. and abroad (though not in England)...but given what I can see about Mayweather and Hatton specifically, I tend to root for Ricky.

And believe me, that says alot considering I really don't like how Hatton fights in the ring.

I understand some of where Mayweather's coming from....but the schtick has gotten really old and he's starting to believe it.

    Peace.

Everlast and I were JUST talking about that fight last week and one of the things he said is that he was a bigger fan of Floyd than you ever were.

Put Everlast on the phone with me, three-way. In fact ask Phonetap...he'll remember that Everlast and I were on different sides of the Floyd-Corrales debate. it's AFTER that fight that Elast was converted.

I haven't spoken with the JW in a while. Give him my number...
