Sure the timing of Joe fighting Hopkins and Jones will always be an issue.

But he is the best super middle weight around bar none and arguably the best light heavy.

nope.....WHAT he do at that weight that is soooo special?? He beat Roy Jones jr. by Decision...Tarver and Johnson both knock him the fuck out...esp. Johnson...if anything they are better light heavyweights than Calzaghe....

and since Chad Dawson beat both Tarver/Johnson ...he is the best Light Heavyweight in the world....bar none....

i think you're secretly in love with me. it's the only explanation as to why you hang on my every word. and then you hate yourself for being a big faggot, and deal with it by disagreeing with evrything i say and insulting me like you're 12 years old.

I agree that Chad's the best Lightheavyweight, and Calzaghe would have to beat him in order to prove he's the best at the weight,.. but the premise for you keeping Calzaghe down isn't due to anything logical my mint,.. you know aswell as I do what is feeding your energy and outrage for any praises Calzaghe gets...[IMG]

What did he do at that weight?
You mean other than beat Hopkins who was the linear lightheavy weight champion of the world after beating Tarver?
Say what ya want about how old Hopkins is but he truly fighting the best out there...and winning the big fights...
He beat Pavlik, Wright and Tarver, thats his last wins, I would say that is pretty damn good for an "old" fighter, and after the first 4 rounds Calzaghe easily beat him...

All this bullshit about Joe is insulting really, and the bullshiut about Andrade beating Joe? Give me a break, I like Andrade that guy has a great chin and keeps coming...but nothing suggests he owuld KO Joe...
And don't bring up the KD's he has had, against the fights I have seen him get KD'd buy he has always came back to dominate rather easily, I haven't seen the Eubanks fight but they keep sayin he was KD'd in that...but again I have no clue, but in the Mitchell, Hopkins and RJJ fight he has cameback and beat the fuck out of them.
Mitchell in the same round...so please...there in nothing in his history that shows like he would get KO'd.
Anyone even with a great chin can be caught in the first 2 rounds....and thats the only time he has been KD'd.
So everyone please shut the fuck up....seriously.

No. I am 100% heterosexual. Sometimes, things are how they seem. You know fucking nothing about boxing. You are wrong 98% of the time literally. Then you don't have the dignity to own up. If oyu had a shread of honor, you'd disappear. I hope you get cancer of the ovaries and die. You suck double l. That is all I am saying. Max Kellerman is Nostradamus compared to you.

Calzaghe dropped Eubank in round 1 with a left hand. Lampley is confused and hasn't seen that fight. I think he's said a couple times that Eubank dropped Calzaghe.

I would say retire. But that is because I absolutely hate Calzaghe's feather fisted, bitch slap style of fighting.:flip:

If he fights anyone, he should fight Chris Byrd and they could paw and play patti cake for 10 rounds.

Kessler should also keep giving Andrade rematches until he wins one. (or at least a round)

I agree, it's unfair on Double L. Double L should write a personal request to Kessler, asking him to fight Andrade over and over again until Andrade wins one round, giving him some grounds at least to pick Andrade against him in the rematch of the rematch of the rematch of the rematch of the rematch.

Problem is Calzaghe would see the post mark on the arriving punch and would be in the dressing room celebrating his win before the punch reached the target.

Andrade would be as discouraged as everyone else with Joe's speedy, unpredictable slaps, and when Andrade did land the odd punch, Joe would take it fine, just as he did Kessler when got hit clean.

True. Andrade's punches are slow. If he waits until Joe is around 45 he might be able to hit him clean once or twice, and possibly even win a round.

disagree. Joe didn't take all of Kessler's punches "fine." Plus, they were one at a time. Think back to the last fighter brave enough to trade with Sloppy Joe - Mitchell. He damn near knocked him out. Now introuduce into the equation Andrade's iron chin.

All night Andrade was trying to get Bute to trade with him. When he did, despite his slower hands, he got the best of it and put Booty in panic mode.

Sloppy would defin definitely need a Welsh ref to see the 12th round against Andrade.

Double - Andrade is not an elite fighter.

I like him, it's hard not to like a fighter like that actually, and he's easy to root for.

But he's not an elite fighter, he fell short in a big way against Kessler, and even fell short against Bute, a homeless man's Calzaghe.

Calzaghe would dominate Andrade from start to finish.

Any contrary belief by you is pure hate and you know it.

But not if Calzaghe sits in there and trades with him!

If both guys just stood there taking turns loading up shots and not moving an inch Andrade would win.

    For sure

Especially if Calzaghe decided to abandon his good footwork and movement, stood COMPLETELY stationary in the center of the ring, and also abandoned some of his other greatest weapons, his quick hands and high workrate, and just stopped punching altogether, and stood there motionless - Andrade would win, and Calzaghe would be lucky to see the 12th round. Andrade might even KO him early if he's lucky.

idiot. high work-rate is exactly why a fighter with courage would have plenty of olpportunities to trade - whether their hands are fast or not. and sloppy does get set before he punches. perfect.

Exactly, If Joe fought someone like Andrade he would be slated in the press and by certain guys on here.

If Joe beat Dawson, Johnson, Pavlik and anyone else you care to add he would still be criticized on here.

I to used to hate on Calzaghe but its time to be objective and give the guy some respect.

At super middle there is NOBODY that could touch Joe and only a very few would be at his level at light heavy - A weight that really suits him IMO. Calzaghe looked in great shape for the Jones fight. He didn't looked gaunt or drained at the weight.
