In fact that was so long ago - People were STILL doing 'ICE BUCKET CHALLENGES" Women's Boxing has Flatlined. Don't hold your breath waiting for that IN HIGH DEMAND Ali vs. Shields 'BLOCKBUSTER" to happen, bro. Sounds like it may be REED'S time to 'MOVE ON."

 

heres the thing reed. if you managed shields and there was a legitimate 15 million dollar offer, would you advise her to push for a 40/60 or better purse split at the expense of the bout not happening?

If the ONLIEST way the bout would take place is for her to take 30%, would you still stand firm that she deserves more and bypass that payday?

like you said, Ali is worth 10 million. so she doesnt need the money nor exposure as much as shields does. and like you also said, ali was never keen on facing the best opponents, even when she was active and at her peak. for 10 million though, Im sure ali would take an ass whipping. and in doing so boost the profile of shields to a known commodity and possibly a cross over name in the sport.

If Shields is the GWOAT - and I dunno whether she is or not - I dont care about the joke sport, so I never watched Riker and Mann Wolfe in their primes. But if Shields is the GWOAT, then it's a sad commentary the quality of the sport, cause truthfully she isnt very good.

i may have seen some parts of the mahfood fights between wolfe and ali but dont recall. so mahfood stopped wolfe, then got stopped twice by ali and then lost decisions twice to wolfe.

seems to indicate wolfe was over rated as a puncher based on splattering that gangly white broad.

 

I saw and talked to Mahfood after she fought Christy Martin. She is a sweet girl Neil, but you had to look twice then as no girls had guy's haircuts ten plus years ago. She told me she was a corrections officer. Did not speak to Christy as she stormed out of the ring cursing saying Bullshit! but she backed up the entire time. The left side of her face was black and blue so someone was hitting her.
