Why was the old Secondsout board shut down?

I remember you on Boxingfanatics for sure but don't recall you on secondsout. I do remember that secondsout being a great place to post. I spent most of my time arguing on smack-talk bitching forum::

 

:: Yep! I was also banned by Leeder! I was later brought back because Leeder was good friends with Reinalatina (a friend of mine), she convinced him to Un-Ban me.

It was shutdown because Max Kellerman said so.

 

Yeah I remember the boxingpress days, then it turned to SecondsOut and that board is what really got me into the boxing forums in the first place.

There was SIMES the moderator (for a while) then later on David Leeder. There were lots of brits, @gaz and that guy sesquipedalian. At one point Capone joined and became the laughing stock of the board (along with qwerty).

In fact in the SecondsOut equivalent to "Talk About Anything" there was a poetry thread where people were writing hack limericks about Capone (aka Crapbone) for months.

I forgot if it was Fightbeat or Secondsout.... but there was that guy Everlast who used to post "insider" info and rip of the other reporters at the site until someone finally found out who Everlast was and threatened to post his identity. Mike something or other.

That forum was like a Spanish soap opera. Good theater, and so many bizarre characters. Why is it that everything has to reach a prime and then implode? Same thing happened to Napster. Shame.

 

Mike Nosky I think. I remember when that happened, never really understood the story though.

I still talk to EDF, Jack, once in awhile although it has been a few years. He started writing for Maxboxing last I heard. Then I heard he stopped writing to help work on setting up a plan for boxers' pensions.

Yep, Boxingpress was the first one I joined way back when Simes owned it. Chi-Town Slugger, Greeneyes, Phonetap, El Diablo Fan, English Bob, and Sesquipedalian were the regulars then.

 

Yours was also a deserved banning. Much more so than bigdawg's. Reinalatina and DarlingBecki. I wonder whatever happened to those two?

No, he wrote for a few very prestigious boxing magazines and entertainment magazines as well.

 

He had a column in two well known Mags but I am sure he wrote in Florida Too....his e-mail was definitely @seminole or something.

 

No it was not a deserving banning! Face it you had a issue with POWER. You made a hobby out of banning people::. As far as Rainalatina she works with me again! It's funny how small this world is. I havent seen DarlingBecki ever since.

Okay - who remembers Chan from the Naseem Hamed Forum, circa 1997-98? That guy was the equivalent of I and I, only far more annoying.

Buddy Rydell - yes I was 7-7-2 and Galactus: both accounts got banned.

El Diablo Fan - poor guy...his boy Angel Manfredy just kept getting smahed from pillar to post or involved in drunken car-crashes.....is he still alive?

I've actually well we've actually done pretty damn good considering the product. Also we've spent next to nothing in the marketing department everything is word of mouth and just getting our grind on. However, I've made enough to do a remodel on my house and pay cash for it, plus it has allowed me to do some other business type adventures as well. I'll Holla 5000
