Yeah, but it's most to do with him being not very good and Fury being awful for him.

Ortiz wouldn't have done any better.

I don't know about Ortiz, I think he's old and his heart isn't great, but Dillian let himself down badly. He boxed like a toughie, just a big man who seemed content to plod about waiting for something to happen....it's not something I wanted-or expected- to have to go into but it looked like his gym sessions where they feed off no hopers or bums without ever venturing out into the real depths.

    If they do, they founder.

The theory being pushed around last night was that he rotted on the vine. He did look very good until the last round Vs Parker and, barring the wonderpunch Vs Povetkin (a much better shit than the one Fury landed) he looked good there too.

He just seemed remarkably shit last night. I can understand him falling short after a good effort, but not basically being shit for every minute.

Another big red flag...running off after the fight without sticking around..smells like a bully move , a guy who can't handle the negativity, he didn't want any of it before the fight either. Seems totally uncomfortable outside of his own AlphaDawg comfort zone.

Whyte really let himself down throughout. Not only with his listless performance but also by avoiding everything pr related during the promotion and acting smug and hard to get with the media. I can't see how he recovers from that, though in all honesty, I'm not really sure he cares as it had all the signs of a cash out.

I agree with everything you said 100% but isn't funny when big fights don't get made they're a yellow bellied coward. But if the fight gets made and he looks bad or outclassed then it's a cashout/moneygrab? Just saying lol. Can't please every one.

A lot like Haye Vs Wlad , Whyte seemed as much concerned with being the "other guy" as he did with the fight itself.

The only difference with Whyte and Haye is that unlike Haye, I don’t think Whyte was intimidated. He’s just an average fighter who couldn’t rise to the occasion.

Haye on the other hand was scared to death of Wlad and gladly pulled every tactic to avoid getting hit. He even flopped to the floor on a couple of occasions,’if I remember correctly. He wanted absolutely OUT of that fight.

It’s hard to remember seeing somebody as scared as he was that night.

Ironically Haye took the best punch of either fight (Klitscho right in the 5th) and kept going.

I really think a lot of Hayes cowardice wasn't physical but derived from the fact he couldn't tolerate being on the receiving end of the Klitschko treatment in and out of the ring.

Shine means a lot to these guys and Haye was just determined to come away from Germany being able to say that he hadn't been jabbed, grabbed and ultimately broken down by a guy being doing what he wanted to him.

It's funny because when it eventually happened it was Vs the totally awesome Tony Bellew

    It's not physical cowardice.

It's resentment about not being "The Man" .

But while Whyte was right to keep away in the buildup, he had to turn that resentment into real fire on fight night.

Instead he just kept on with the sullen routine .

If Dillian Whyte thinks £7m is life-changing money, he's wrong. Not for a guy like him it's not.

He's gonna be on ESPN doing the old "got me a mansion, got me a hummer, got me a airplane" routine in 3 years for a new ESPN show.

He better look for other fights....Slow Dice Joyce, Daniel DuWhat, Usyk, Joshua, Fabio Wardley, whatever is coming out of the USA, there are fights there to be had
