Hatton won the first 2 rounds

He pressed the fight and mayweather hardly landed a punch. I have to rewatch the remaining rounds again.

    :eeeek:

In the first few rounds it look like Mayweather wasn't landing shit but the whole time he was landing that UPPERCUT he said he would land..he was also landed the right hand to Hatton body...

but later on..the CLEAN punches even if they were only 8 or 9 a round..were being landed by Mayweather...

i didn't see mayweather land anything

except for 3 punches at the end of round 2 i think. most of his attempts were blocked.

I had it 9-1 at the time of the stopagge.

Hatton was never really in the fight.

I think it was very wise of Floyd to go downstairs.. Ricky talked about going to the body but I don't think he expected to be on the recieving end

i thought the score-cards at the time of the stoppage were ridiculoous. my impression at the time of the stoppage was that ricky should win the last three rounds, but that he was in the fight for sure.

i think the judges (and compubox for that matter) give PBF the benefit of the doubt on way too many of his shots. it's like he's Micheal Jordan who always got the benefit of the doubt from the referees.

I didn't really score the fight but , IMO at the time of the stoppage , Floyd was up a few points ...
Hatton , as soon as he got a little tired , it was downhill from there and no coming back ..

IMO this reminded me of the Collazo fight a bit except Hatton got stopped this time .. Hatton got a gift Vs Collazo ..

It wasn't Hatton getting tired, it was Cortez trying to command the fight too much and ruining Hatton's flow. Soon it became Hatton vs 2 guys instead of 1.

    Excuses, excuses.

Like I said to another poster, I assure you that Floyd's fists had more to do with the outcome that Joe Cortez.

Joe Cortez involved himself in about 80% of that fight. He was just inside Hatton's ass continuously, and took away a bullsh*t point.

Yeah , Cotez wanted to be a bit of a star on Saturday ..
Still though , Ricky having less skill then PBF and being smaller , he needed to be sure to have better conditioning. He did not and progressivly got worse as he faded.
He did the same thing against Collazo and at one point , I thought Collazo was going to drop him .. (11th or 12th round)
Same exact shit happend here except PBF being a better fighter then Collazo managed to stop Hatton ...
Hatton is completely ineffective once he starts fading ...

IMO if Collazo had another round or 2 , he would have stopped Hatton as well.

What do you expect when you have to run after your f*ckin' opponent round after round to make it a fight? Of course it's gonna make you tired.

Hatton threw him out of the ring then tried to hit him in the back of the head. Nothing bullshit about it.

The exchange at 1:25 of round 1 was interesting.....Hatton stunned Floyd with a solid(if not clean) right and then left hook which sent him reeling backwards. Floyd (and his corner) were very concerned with Hatton's aggression early on.

The point deduction was b.s. though as the replay clearly showed that there was no contact....in the end it didn't mean much anyways although I think it triggered Ricky's recklessness as he feared falling behind on the scorecards.

    Good fight.

Money: Gatti is a bum, c level fighter...after the fight he cries like he beat someone great.....

Money(during 24/7): "i thought i did this for the money, but i have enough money, i most do it cause i love it"

after the Hatton fight or was it before: I don't love boxing...

I really hope the Cotto Floyd fight comes off and Cotto stops running from it.

After Floyd thoroughly outboxes and stops Cotto you'll have no more shit to say! :bears:

Money May retire..he is the one running from the fight....he doesn't wanna see or know about Cotto, Margarito,Williams,etc...

He is probably hoping Juan Diaz popularity goes up..so he can fight him in the next year or so....OR maybe Manny Pacquiao would jump a few division...

shit you don't think Mayweather is thinking that shit...? The same way a few months/years back he was hoping for Cory to defeat Taylor..so he can go beat another lucky Bumdomir type of opponent and call himself the Middleweigth champion of the world....

Joe Calzaghe doesn't think so. And if Pretty Boy has the guts, let him step up and meet Joe so they can find out who is THE BEST.

Manny Pacquiao would rape that pussy. But Manny doesn't like running after bitches. He prefers they stand and trade.
