I got the impression that he might be sick, like a cold or something.. I also don't blame him for not shaking Wlad's hand, because he knows Wlad doesn't like him and for good reason, from Haye's point of view he's obviously not going to play along with Wlad's theatrics.

If I were to tingle a coin down the wall of the well though,.. I'd bet he's come down with something for the time being,.. but if he really is frightenned sick, running out of breathe, voice-cracking, etc,.. fuck,.. it'll be impossible for him to show up the night of the fight, impossible.

Vitali has put Haye up to this. This "bullying" is classic Vitali. He was at it with Hide in 1999 when he said that Hide was "adopted" and he was at it again with Peter and then, when Haye was getting ready to fight Vitali, {} Vitali punched Haye "playfully" in the shoulder, just testing the waters, to see how Haye responded and Haye responded badly with an awkward grimace.

Since then I think this angle has been played up with the handshake. Haye is an "image" guy, he thrives off image, he sells it to his customers and he is himself influenced by it.

He knows Wladimir has stronger hands and arms and thats why he won't shake the hand.

It impacts him even though it shouldn't. He should do the handshake, acknowledge his opponents strength, and then start to think about how he is going to beat it, over come it.
