Is Williams reach that long? I thought it was comparable to Pavliks.

Yep,.. he's got arms like legs,.. that's why he reminds me of a spider in the ring against his opponents, and with his workrate, he looks like he's winding a bobbin around a moth.

Margarito almost pulled out the win against Williams, but Pavlik doesn't have the work-rate that Margarito does, and doesn't apply the relentless pressure either. Plus, he hasn't historically been as commited to going to the body as Margarito was against Williams, which is one reason I think Margarito began winning rounds in the second half of the fight.

I think I agree with most of the people here who say that Pavlik needs to at least be able to hit Williams with something he's never felt before to make him more hesitant, if not knock him out in order to win.

Another major factor will be what happens inside. Williams was allowed to hold everytime Margarito got inside. It will be interesting to see if Pavlik and/or the referee allow that to happen. Because as good as Williams is inside, he wanted none of it when it came to Margarito and I'd assume the same would be the case with Pavlik.

But if they are allowed to fight inside, Pavlik will trade with Williams and obviously land the harder shots. Pavlik's fight might be inside. Inside he can nullify William's movement and angles, and like Paul, he's one of those rare tall fighters who fights well inside and can shorten and mix up his punches well.

I think his mistake against Hopkins was that he didn't muscle him around enough. I think given his age he could've had he been more aggressive.
