How does he do vs the two best FWs of the 80s?

I think he likely beats Sanchez, and is 50/50 with Pedroza. El Alacran could use his length in a similar manner to how I think he would've done vs Sanchez.

I think Pedroza matches up better against slickster than Sal, and Pedroza might have been the perfect foil for Pep.

    I think Pep bamboozles Sanchez.

Agreed. I think a taller guy with a great jab, snake-like movement and incredible reflexes is his own is someone who'd really trouble Pep. A lot Saddler's success vs Pep came from being so long and dirty, I'm sure Pedroza could've done similar.

Yeah, Pep seems pretty bad for Sanchez. He's better in so many ways. I wouldn't question anyone who said Pep was better in everything aspect aside from power and chin.

I think if you put Pep in that sort of 70s/80s era, he may well have swept the board. Marcel and Pedroza are his hardest fights, but I wouldn't be surprised if he won them both. I think he'd have schooled Arguello, and won decisively vs Sanchez. Gomez, Lopez, Lockridge Hafey and Olivares don't have much chance either IMO.
