Exactly. He hasn't looked like a shot fighter at any point in his career, thus far. An average fighter? Sure. But shot? No way.

Agreed, but Hatton fans say he's shot to downplay juniors win.

Obviously they do, but they're going about it the wrong way. Harris isn't anything close to special. THATS what they're missing out on.

He's not special, but he's a pretty skilled fighter. He's just got weak legs a reachable chin and questionable stamina.

Attraction - I don't think harris is shot, I've never even suggested it.

To be honest I never thought Harris was much good. The people that think he's now shot, obviously did.

Decent win for witter, he won impressively, but it's certainly not a great win, because Harris is nothing more than a decent fighter.

Actually, smart arse, I've seen this fight on a number of occasions, and I agree that people did take Junior's performance to the extreme, especially considering his short notice.

But Junior ran from, in hindsight, possibly the most mentally fragile supposed 'elite' fighter in recent times. And that mud sticks, particularly in light of how exposed Zab was later in his career.

It's a tune up before he fights for a world title. We've been over this before...

At his best, he was a handy fighter, IMO. Against Witter, he didn't look too good, and that's in comparison to his usual self. I'm not trying to say he's some kind of fallen legend.

And I agree that it was a good win for Junior. A lot of people, including plenty here, picked Harris to beat Junior. The same people who are now proclaiming Junior as some kind of all conquering hero at 140...

Very true. As I recall it was about 60:40 in Harris favour, maybe even 70:30.

Regarding the Judah fight, Witter ran for the last 6 or so rounds and embarrassed himself plain and simple. The excuse is that he was a novice and took it on nine days notice, "I shouldn't have been anywhere near the same ring as Zab at that stage" he says, but he was and mud sticks. even though 1 judge scored it 116-112, and junior did quite well in the first few rounds, the everlasting impression is him on the bicycle.

    :eeeek:

If they fought tomorrow, Junior Witter would absolutely murder Zab.

Zab would be doing a version of the chicken dance, and I'd love to watch it (again)...

Witter - "I'll fight Haton for FREE"

UNIOR WITTER has told Ricky Hatton he will fight him for FREE.

Witter, 34, believes Hatton is running scared and has used every excuse in the book to avoid the Battle of Britain boxing fans would love to see.

The WBC light-welterweight champion said: "I'm gutted the fight hasn't come off.

"Ricky's scared and he knows I'd whoop his a***. He's good but he knows I'm better.

"I'm a fighter and I want to prove I'm the best out there.

"He's had 101 excuses. He used to say I haven't got a title but I have a title.

"He says I'm not box office but I am box office — I'm the WBC champion.

"Now he's saying he doesn't want to give me a payday.

"All I need is my training expenses and I'll come round and kick his a*** in front of everybody for free.

"My people have got to get paid, my training expenses have got to be paid but I'll do it for free.

"I can do that because I know I'm going to win."

    1. NO TITLE... (WBC TITLE NOW HAD)
    2. HBO DONT WANT THE FIGHT (HBO WANT THE FIGHT)
    3. DOESN'T DESERVE IT (WBC CHAMP AND #1 RIVAL)
    4. NOT GIVING HIM A PAYDAY (DOESN'T WANT A PAYDAY).

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but has Hatton just run out of excuses?

Okay, no more excuses for Hatton:lol:

However, Witter does know that Lazcano and Malignaggi are up next for Hatton.

No doubt Hatton is ducking Witter, knew it from the beginning, I hope we see Hatton begin to sweat and squirm the way Fraud did when constantly confronted with the Margarito proposition.

And it has ben announced that Witters next fight is going to be on ITV which is a terrestrial station so EVERYONE will be able to see junior SPARK out Bradley and then call Hatton out to the entire nation!!!!!!!!!!!

Is Witter REALLY 34???!!!:eeeek: :eeeek: ...If True, This would Somewhat EXPLAIN his OBSESSION w/Ricky Hatton...w/his Speedy, Reflexive STYLE of Fighting, Witter Could LOSE his Physical Gifts N Any Given Fight...

Witter's DELUSIONAL if he Thinks having the WBC Title Makes him "Box Office"...Cory Spinks has a Title, but is he "Box Office"???...Winky Wright had Titles AND Lb 4 Lb Rankings, but was he EVER "Box Office"???...

& the Whole "I'll Fight for Free" Angle is TIRED...NOBODY Fights for FREE, so Witter SHOULDN'T Even Suggest he Would...

Attraction, have U EVER Started a NON Witter or Hatton Related Thread???

I can guarantee that Witter measn what he says when he says he will fight for free.

    Is Juan Lucozade box office?
    Is Paulie Mailignaggi box office?
    Is Luis collazo box office?
    Is Juan urango box office?

Witter isn't box office, but he brings MORE to the table that they did. With the REAL hate between him and hatton and the WBC title.

And YES, Witter is 34. Thats why he fights few fights these days, he doesn't want to work himself out at this phase of his career. Hatton is trying to stall the fight until Witter gets old, as you would expect from him at this stage.

Well, he has no more excuses now.

Unless YOU'RE a Member of Witter's Camp AND U've PERSONALLY Seen a CONTRACT w/the Words "I'll Fight for FREE" Written on it, U CANNOT Guarantee that, Attraction:nono: ...

U Just Said YOURSELF, there's REAL "Hate" btwn Hatton & Witter, yet U PERSIST N Thinking Hatton's Only Motive for NOT Facing Witter is FEAR???:dunno: ...What Happened to "Hate"???...

If I'm Ricky Hatton, KNOWING Any Guy that Fights Me is Getting a CAREER HIGH Purse, I'd Take my Time N REWARDING Witter (a Guy I "Hate") w/a Fight as Well...

Actually thats correct, Malignaggi would probably be bigger in america unfortunately. I think Witter needs a good performance on May 10th. Its a pity the Harris fight wasn't shown in america.

I know Witter, he would fight him for free. No purse involved. That is a guarantee. He has been saying that in interviews recently. All Hatton has to do is call his bluff.

So what you are saying is, that you CONDONE Hatton not fighting WItter because you UNDERSTAND that Hatton doesn't want to give him a payday. Well, thats not an issue any more so where do you stand now.

REED'll Spell it Out CLEARLY for U, O.K.???

Ricky Hatton ALREADY Has Plans to Meet Juan Lazcano THEN Paul Malignaggi...This ISN'T a Startling Revelation, as it's Been Known Since the 1st of the Year, Approximately...

Even if Witter Offered to PAY HATTON for a Fight, Ricky's STILL Got Business w/Lazcano & Malignaggi 1st...

Since U KNOW Witter, Tell him to Make Fights Around the SAME DATES as Hatton's Bouts w/Lazcano & Malignaggi...Tell Witter to Buy a Ticket to Hatton-Malignaggi & IMMEDIATELY After the Fight, Make the "I'll Fight for FREE" Declaration...

Looooooooong Story Short, Ricky Hatton has PLANS...So The ONUS is on Witter to Keep HIMSELF RELEVANT, as Opposed to PRAYING that Hatton MAKES him Relevant...

Tell your Boy to Keep WINNING (In STYLE), then Show Up to Hatton's Fights &/or Post Fight Pressers....

    UNTIL Then, Witter's Only Blowing Smoke & U're Only SPAMMING a Messageboard:lol: ...

Hatton reveals the reason he won't fight Witter

So far we've had several reasons.

    1. HBO wouldn't want the fight. (They do now)
    2. I don't want to give Witter a payday (he doesn't want one).
    3. Its not appealing to the public (#1 and '2 140 pounders is what everyone want to see)
    4. Get a belt and I'll fight him (WBC champ)
    5. He insulted me, I don't want to fight him (Laughable).

    AND NOW THIS...

RICKY HATTON has revealed why he will never fight Junior Witter — an awards-do insult.

Hatton, 29, makes his light-welterweight comeback on May 24 against Juan Lazcano in Manchester after losing his unbeaten record to Floyd Mayweather.

The Hitman has been taunted for years by Witter who now holds the prestigious WBC world title. Hatton was ready to bow to the pressure until the Bradford switch-hitter put his foot in it.

Hatton said: “I was half contemplating fighting him but it all changed at the BBC Sports Personality of the Year awards in Birmingham.

“They got me up, Joe Calzaghe, Enzo Maccarinelli, Clinton Woods and Witter. We all walked to the stage and I shook hands with them all. Witter leaned over to me and whispered ‘One day.’

“I just thought, ‘You’ve just peed that up against the wall there.’ I really was thinking about getting in the ring with him.â€

Witter, 34, defends his WBC belt against Tim Bradley in Nottingham on May 10.

He said one day so you won't fight him. I hope Juan Lazcano and Paulie don't say one day to Vicky before they fight him.
