Settle down, ma'am, and I'll explain.

Floyd doesn't get kd's or ko's from pure, goofy-angled hookercuts like what tagged Hatton. Witter, otoh, relies on reflexes and is far more unorthodox coming from Ingle's arena. And to land that punch, being unorthodox and wicked fast is the best combo. Floyd is only half of that.

He alternates regularly from orthodox to southpaw, though.

I'd like to see Hatton go back down to 140 and shut Junior Shitter and Paul "Megalomania" both the fuck up. :warning:

Yeah, that damn pussy Hatton. Scared of Witter, he only takes easy fights like Mayweather at welterweight.

Here's what Hatton has to say about Witter in new issue of the Ring, with Pavlik on the cover.

"Witter has had a great career. But the only way he's going to make any considerable money is by fighting me. I've enjoyed seeing him squirm, fighting nobodies and getting no money."

Yes you're right. He ran from Junior for the past 7 years but fighting Mayweather shows he's not scared of Junior. He just ran for 7 years for no reason. Maybe he will continue running for no reason?

I believe you would find that Junior already fought in the states and is ready willing and able to do so again. He would fight Malignaggi in a heartbeat but has been holding out for Hatton. Negotiations are ongoing and the ball, as always, is in Hattons court. If Hatton decides he hasn't got the balls to fight Junior once again, Junior will be seeking out Malignaggi.

Witter wants Hatton because Hatton is the biggest payday he could ever hope for. But Hatton doesn't need Witter for shit. So what does Witter do? Nothing. He just whines and cries and says Hatton is afraid of him. If he shut the fuck up, collected the other two belts at 140, the fight would come to him. The people of England would demand it. Maybe Witter isn't confident enough in his own skills to fight the other title holders?:dunno:

I agree with a lot of what you are saying, but Hatton is/has been ducking Witter for a long, long time.

So far, Hatton has chosen the path that leads to "Nice Chevy, Junior!", followed by "Nice Rolls Royce, you ducking bitch." It's similar to Oscar not fighting Vargas for a long time.

But, in the end, I think Oscar made the right move. Sure, now when Vargas sees him, he's also driving a Rolls, but he has to say "Nice Rolls Royce, Uncle Oscar!"

Hatton running from Witter but he steps up the fight the best in business....bitch please...

Hatton ran from no one.

And anyone who states that he only fights for the € fights is an idiot.

For fuck's sake!!!

I can accept an arguement that Hatton has been 'avoiding' Witter because he hates Witter and does NOT want him to earn a penny out of him, but to say that he is 'ducking' him out of fear/respect whilst he is firstly fighting (and stopping) Tzsyu then moving up a weight to fight for a title (Collazo), then a few Vegas tune-ups followed by Castillo and then another move in weight class to challenge the #1 fighter on the planet is asburd in the extreme. :nono:

I like Witter. I picked him to stop Harris & I defended him when US fight fans slated him for his loss to Zab (after about 9 fights and on two weeks notice). Moreover, I think he is better than Paulie and that he and Hatton have to fight next.

And he would be very live in that fight. He is a typical Ingle fighter- tough to hit and throws a lot of awkward shots from awkward angles. Moreover, he seems to be generating a lot more power in his shots, which makes him a lot more dangerous at world level.

BUT Hatton truly, truly HATES him, and he will only fight him if he absolutely has to, because he refuses to let Witter make money off his back. Did any of you see Witter's WC fight against Harris? It was like something out of the 80's, fought in a Leisure Centre in some backwater someplace. Vegas it was not...

...Witter KNOWS his ticket out of that is Hatton. Hatton knows Witter's ticket is Hatton, and he just doesn't want to give him it. When Hatton refuses to make this match-up, Witter should go back to the States, fight and beat Malinaggi and THEN call out Hatton.

If Hatton refuses the fight when Junior brings something to the pie, then I'll change my tune. Until then, the idea that Hatton has ran from Witter is insane... :notallthere:

Ducking, running, avoiding...they all mean the same thing in this case.

Why don't we look at the fights Ricky has had since Witter has been calling him out. I'll spot you Tszyu and Floyd. Fine, he wasn't ducking Witter when he chose to take those fights. Maussa and Collazo had belts when Witter didn't so I suppose I'll spot you them, too, to be generous even if Witter would have been worth money.

It's still going to be 12+ to 4 on fights where Hatton could have fought Witter, didn't, and made less than he would have against Witter. And I would presume, a lot less.

Running and ducking mean 'avoiding out of fear'. Hatton doesn't want to fight Witter because he doesn't like him and doesn't want Witter making money off him. These things are the same to you mikE? :dunno:

Since Tsyzu, Hatton has fought:

Maussa - Hallam Arena, Sheffield
Collazo (@ 147) - Boston
Urango - Las Vegas
Castillo - Thomas and Mack, Las Vegas
Mayweather Jr (@ 147)- MGM Grand, Las Vegas

How many of these do you think Hatton should have said 'no' to to fight Witter instead? You gave me Tszyu and Maussa and Collazo and Floyd. So you think Hatton would have made more money and prestige fighting Witter than Castillo? Surely not.

The ONLY possible argument you could make is for Urango. So Hatton had ONE fight where he fought a guy he perhaps should have overlooked for Witter. PERHAPS. And this means he's running? :dunno:

I mean, really, look at the guy he's supposed to be 'running' from. Witter has been fighting mediocrity personified, in nowhere arenas for no money at all.
Witter has fought:

Colin Lynes - York Hall
DeMarcus Corley - Ali Pali (won vacant title, September 2006)
Arturo Mora - Ali Pal
Vivian Harris - Doncaster Dome

Compare those two lists and ask yourself again- why do you think Junior Witter has been chasing Hatton like a puppy chasing a bone?

To say that Hatton has been hiding from, or 'ducking' Junior Witter is crazy mikE, it really is bro...

I think Hatton might beat Witter. Witter has the talent and skill to come out on top but I don’t know if he has the intangibles. Would Witter have the tough mental fortitude to remain focused while fighting in front of his first huge crowd at the same time that Hatton is mauling him with his rough and clinch filled style? To be honest I doubt it. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />

So would I. Witter might control Paulie early, but then he'd get gassed as always, and Paulie would outbox him the rest of the way.

I was thinking the exact same thing. I think Paulie would have Witter frustrated beyond belief, while picking him apart.

Do you know about the history between Hatton and Witter? Because it doesn't sound like it. It goes FAR BACK beyone the Tszyu fight.

Witter was calling Hatton out when Hatton was fighting the likes of Pederson, Vilches, Stephen Smith, Joke Stewart, Old Phillips, Old Oliviera etc. EVERY SINGLE TIME, WITTER PUT HIS NAME FORWARD PUBLICALLY but Hatton selected an overmatched foe.

This has been going on for SEVERAL YEARS MAN.

It's CLEAR that Hatton had ducked Witter. I rememer once Hatton was asked BY WITTER LIVE ON SKY, why he wouldn't fight him and Hatton said, "Well Its in my contract to fight you in the summer". Witter is still waiting.

Hatton wants no part of Witter because Witter would destroy him, plain and simple.

Hatton traumatised - "I feel like a woman"

fter his loss at the hands of Floyd Mayweather Jr., Ricky Hatton has confessed that often times he has found himself in tears in the two weeks since the loss. These days Hatton claims that the defeat in Las Vegas has left him feeling “like a womanâ€￾.

Quoted by the dailystar.co.uk, Hatton confessed: “I feel like a woman at the minute,â€￾ Hatton added: “I can’t seem to stop crying. Ultimately, the biggest fight of my life was the biggest disappointment of my life''

Although it was the biggest disappointment of his life, Hatton is not ready to quit boxing just yet. Hatton has promised to his fans he would shake off the demons, stating: “I’m not going to finish.â€￾

The publication also quoted a friend, who stated in regards to Hatton: “He’s been low but he’ll bounce back. He’s having to learn to deal with defeat, but he’s mastered everything else about boxing so I’m sure he’ll crack this too."

The friend added: "He’ll come back older and wiser. He’ll learn from the experience. He’s had the highs and now he’s having the lows.â€￾
