That was REED's Rationale as Well...REED's Seen Bradley 3-4 Times but Only 1nce vs a "Name" Opponent (Jaime Rangel) & Bradley STRUGGLED Early N that Bout...

It was his 1st Appearance on ShoBox, So REED Cut him a BIT of Slack, but Still Figured Bradley was N OVER his Head Against Witter...

But Dude was ULTRA Confident N the Interview he Did w/REED & Cupey...Not the Loud, Boisterous, PSUEDO Confidence, but the QUIET, CONTENT, SELF-ASSURED Version...

That Mere CONVERSATION Made REED Believe MORE N Bradley's Chances than he did Previously...But Not Enough to PICK Bradley, Obviously...

I'd seen Bradley a total of ONE time, and, though I thought the guy had good hand speed, I expected Witter's experience and unorthodoxity to come through late.

Boy, was I wrong. The guy landed flush on Junior pretty much every time he threw anything with menace, even though his record seemed to show that he didn't have the kind of power to trouble Junior. For the first time, Witter looked like a 34 year old fighting tonight.

I still can't believe how much of a fuck up Junior made of that fight. I'd even forgiven him for running from Zab, but fucking hell. He froze AGAIN.

Are those picking him to beat Hatton, nay DEMANDING Hatton fight him or else he ruin his legacy, still saying the same shit now? Because even this DIMINISHED version of Hatton would clearly demolish Witter, and Bradley and any other 140lb-er out there right now.

Much as this pains me, this fight goes even further in enhancing PBF's legacy. It goes to show just how far ahead, even now, Ricky is of the rest of the pack at 140...

    hatton shoulda fought him.

hatton could've done the hometown coming thing against witter.

hatton wasn't even brave enough to do that.

The consensus was that Bradley was the clear winner of the fight - but so far, your modified R-by-R was considerably off. I had it 2-1 Witter through the first three rounds, though Bradley is now in control through the first minute of the 4th.

I though Witter won 1 and 2. The third was Bradley. I had 4 even? :dunno:

    Agreed.

I gave five to Bradley though it could have been even or even Junior's.

The only CLEAR round was round six...

Please. Juan Urango gave him problems. Louis Collazo beat him IMO. Nonsense? I don't think so.

Juan Urango may have won 2 rounds.

Collazo did trouble him very much, because he was a slick counterpuncher, a blueprint Floyd worked to perfection.

Bradley is not slick by any means, he would get roughed up.

Notice anything that might be considered bullshit about including this guy in your list or did you just want to make sure you had this spot filled?

I liked the way Bradley was not remotely phased by the occasion and fighting abroad for the first time, and fighting a world champ for the first time, but moreover - not remotely phased by witter's stupid, awkward style.

It didn't throw bradley at all, he just got on with it, and whilst witter was poncing around, doing his stupid retarded brendan ingle moves, and his best karate kid impression, bradley was just tagging him with stiff jabs, right hands, and quick little left hooks.

He just did a number on him.

LOL@a blueprint Floyd worked to perfection. Man, Floyd beat his ass on the inside, the outside, you name it. He just so happened to KO him with a counter.

And for the record, Bradley is far slicker than Collazo. In fact, Collazo really isn't slick at all so I don't know where you're getting that idea from. Being a lefty doesn't automatically make you "slick."

Urango may have won only two rounds but he did give Hatton trouble - and exposed his inability to take what he dished out.

Based on what I saw last night, Bradley has the goods to decision Hatton, who is still living off wins over the decrepit Tszyu and Castillo. Like I said, he lost to Louis Collazo.

I would kind of agree re Urango...what I was expecting was an all action match of styles with neither guy taking a step back, what happened was that Hatton didn't like Urango strength advantage or his hooks and just pulled a ruiz, getting off first and then tying urango up...Urango didn't have the boxing smarts to even attempt to counteract this and got shut down

Right now, I would be reluctant to put money on hatton against malignaggi, I'd agree that hatton's best days are well past him

I think its a shame that Witter won't get that domestic clash, the thing is that he's rather old now, particularly for a guy with his style...he looked like he had lost a few seconds of response time and Bradley was the right guy to expose it...

Yeah but Bradley is slicker, faster and far more athletically gifted than those guys.

Agreed. I tend to lean towards Bradley's youth rather than say Witter got old. He may have slowed some but he threw some shots in there last night that would've caught someone a hair slower. The similarities between he and Zab are striking.

Bradley is really good - a very focused fighter with great skills. He's not a one-punch KO guy but he hits hard and is versatile. Throw that in with his athletic ability and it isn't hard to see how he poses problems for any junior welter. And he's still learning.

Hatton, on the other hand, knows of no plan B. I think Bradley can neutralize plan A; he can box from the outside and he is a very, very good counterpuncher. I doubt he stops him and it definitely wouldn't be easy but he is capable of winning a clear decision

I guess he would stand some chance against this version of hatton.

Bradley is fast and sharp, no doubt.

It wasn't until I looked back on some old hatton fights that I realised how much hatton has declined. He used to be a very athletic fighter.

He had quick hands, quick feet, good movement, a pretty good jab, a quick leaping left hooks, and above all - EXCELLENT stamina.

Now all those qualities have badly deteriorated.

But I would still pick him over bradley by clear, ugly decision.
