    Is currently 93% due to nine (9) rotten reviews from fringe critics, but I found suspicious that they are adding foreign countries reviewers too from Australia, Singapore & UK..."Hmmm...Disney must be trying to sabotage these numbers..."(Rainmaker)

    They have always added foreign countries. You just have to be a well established critic in this countries and be certified by Rotten Tomatoes. It's understandable if it fluctuates. 93% is still a fucking incredible score.

    Anything 90 and above is highly impressive as you'd always get those critics that just want to be negative for the sake of it

    If it stays at 93% or below THEN Marvel still owns DC. *winks at Rainmaker*

    Cynicism aside, I think Wonder Woman is getting such high % marks because people are comparing it very favourably to the earlier ´low-bar´ set by Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice and Suicide Squad. In addition to my earlier post about this, maybe critics are cutting DC some slack and increasing their positive reviweing.
    The Rotten Tomato rating seems to be the go-to for movie reviews, but aren´t there ratings binary in the same way as Netflix now uses a ´thumb-up´ or ´thumb-down´to give a + or - rating, that is, either a tomato or a splat?
    The ´Tomato Meter´ states 93% which looks a bit skewed when their critics average gives it as a 7.6/10

    Plus, I still agree with Anthony (I think it was) that female superheroes don´t really ´work´. The fact that Wonder Woman seems have changed that, is a testament to its appeal to Feminists as well as Lesbian, Gay and Transgendered groups...
    Look at the contemporaries: Catwoman, Supergirl, Batgirl, Elektra - none of these appeal in the same way to athe above minority groups.

    Im going to go and see this with the missus next week, I´ll probably enjoy it and not ask for my money back - but I suspect its going to be a future ´camp classic´...

    No, I don't think that this is a makeup for the bad reviews for the previous DCEU entries....if anything kid this were also disappointing people would criticize it even more. No, I think it's a good film and from the clips and the plot synopsis it appears excellent. Also the best part of BvS was when Wonder Woman joined the fray so Gal Gadot has already shown that she's a force to be reckoned with. Besides all of that...the main villain is Ares. Ares! The Motherfucking God of War. That's a game changer.

    Can't Mocus just even consider the possibility that the movie is actually good? The other females superhero films were plain atrocious even if it starred male heroes. And some of the bad reviews WW received were plain biased: I mean one critic was bitching that the movie was waaaayy tooo loooong! Like if 2 hours 21 minutes was a Gone with the Wind endurance marathon. And THAT was the sole reason to give it a bad review. You just wonder what this person mind state was when he was watching the film.

    No because there are too many variables involved: it's a DC movie.
    DC movies as of 2-3 weeks ago had a fucking terrible reputation as we all know and have discussed.
    Now a movie comes along that ticks all the boxes you don't normally associate with comic-book characters:
    * female director
    * appeals primary to women
    * appeals to 'Feminism'
    * appeals to LGBT minorities

    And wouldn't you know it - just when DC need a big hit to pretty much save their interpretations of superheroes/heroines...it's getting over-the-top rave reviews.

    Hmmmm...

    What about proven innocent until found guilty? Each movie most be judged on its own, not by its predecessors. And probably the fact that Zack Snyder barely had any creative say in this film could be the factor it broke the 'DCEU curse'.

    From what I have read this movie smacks current feminism in its face. It's not man hating and is very much pine's movie as gadot's. Both rely on each other for help equally and many times pine's character takes charge over WW.

    I saw it. Very good, not flawless but very good. Gal Gadot is a beautiful woman, she may not have the curves of Lynda carter but it matters not, she is astonishingly pretty. Aside from that though it was a good plot and had some great action scenes. Paradise island with the amazons is everything I imagined it to be. Best DCEU film so far by quite a bit

    Wonder Woman (2017) WB & DC executives can open the champagne bottles as finally they have reason to celebrate: Wonder Woman is their first darn good film after a string of disappointments (Man of Steel, Batman v Superman, Suicide Squad and lets not include Green Lantern) that while they did nice box office business, they had terrible reviews from both critics and fans. Director Patty Jenkins has delivered an entertaining superhero origin film in the same kind of old fashion nostalgic fun vein that made Richard Donner's 1978 Superman: The movie into the comicbook adaption were future films were going to be compared with. Like the Donner film was like three different films within one (Krypton, Smallville & Metropolis) 'Wonder Woman' follows suit with three different scenarios that stand on their own: the Paradise Island, London & battlefront sequences. The film starts without any kind of title sequence or credits and goes straight to Themyscira island and stays there long enough for us to marvel at the exotic amazonian society. Robin Wright shines here as the fierce general of the amazons army. In the London sequences is reminiscent of Clark Kent's fish-out-of-water as our heroine is just plain clueless about men's society. Lots of fun scenes here. Then on the battlefront sequences Diana becomes Wonder Woman and kicks serious ass in the process. My only gripe was the last battle with the main villain, which went on too long, overboard and felt forced like if zack snyder went to the location filming one day and told Jenkins she HAD to include a superbattle. The film would have been much better if it didn't had gone on that predictable way. Gal Gadot is awesome. She IS Wonder Woman. Has beauty, charisma and owns this character the same way Christopher Reeve owned Superman. Justice League needs now to live up to the standard this film has set. I heard rumors that WB is asking the 'Justice League' producers to add more Wonder Woman scenes so they can use her more in the promotion. Whatever they deliver on November will be compared with this film. And they better deliver like this one has. 8/10

    On Friday WW debuted with a strong $38 million after pulling an additional $11 million on Thursday night. Predictions are now putting the Gal Gadot film at a weekend domestic total of $97-$100 million, which is way more than the $65-$70 million the same predictors were saying 4 weeks ago. Also the film seems to be on its way for a $200+ million worldwide debut.

    Yeah you missed the point: I was being sarcastic with regards to the ridiculous % figure being thrown around and all of you gay boys excitedly jumping up and down: "it's now at 94%!!"

    "Nooooooooo! It's down to 92.75%!!!"

    Why does it it have a 94% Tomato Rating but only a 7.6/10 Average Rating?

    The tomato rating is based on a binary: pass or fail. 94 % of reviewers gave it a passing grade; in other words said that it was a good film. However if the majority of them rated it a 7 out of 10 the you get the 7.6 average rating.

    Correct.
    So in reality, this movie is a 7.6/10

    Thanks for the clarification.

    Yes, and to be fair, I think 7.6/10 sums it up for me too.

    7.5 Was exactly the store i was coming here to give it. I thought the movie was solid and Gadot has become a huge Hollywood Star just based on this movie alone. But it did get lot's of undeserved Hype. The theater i was in was literally full of Bull Dykes. And everywhere back and forth banter between Wonder Woman and Pine, people were laughing so loud, you would think Dave Chappelle was doing Standup. And also every time wonder woman threw just a small kick these would would be cheering as if we just saw the major battle scene in the first avengers movie. I kept looking around wondering why the need to try so hard?

    DC is lucky that their PC ways lucked out with Patti Jenkins who clearly has not lost her touch.

    Yup it was solid but not great. My favourite part of the film was the paradise island sequence, specifically when the German Army stormed the beach. Great stuff. If the entire film was on that level I may have given it a 9.5.
