Dude, Thor in this movie and in all the MCU films is just Thor. He doesn't have a human alterego. However, Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) mentioned that the clothes she gave to Thor belonged to her ex-boyfriend, Dr. Donald Blake, as a little homage to the original 60's comicbook where Thor and Blake shared the same body.

Donald Blake character was phased-out very quickly back in the 60s....no idea why lb4lb bought the name up...

I always found the Donald Blake storyline fascinating as he had no recollection or memory that he used to be Thor until years later when he discovers his power and identity through a cane in a cave in Norway. Thor has since separated his body from Donald Blake, who is now just a normal physician.

Thor never fell for the Enchantress seduction, but Donald Blake was no match for Amora...

    with disastrous results!

Wonder Woman crossed the $400 million mark domestically a feat none of the other DCEU films nor many Marvel movies have accomplished. By this Friday it will cross the $800 million mark worldwide. It still hasn't opened in Japan yet so it will be interesting to see how it performs there.

Wonder Woman is now the highest grossing super hero origin film ever with $800 worldwide & $404 million domestically. It will add some more millions in Japan next week. Patty Jenkins was finally signed by WB to direct the sequel and also made history as the highest paid female film director.

Which is DC's downfall: either totally invincible or completely vulnerable.

agree with those above who said: this was a poor movie.

the overwhelmingly positive reviews consitute a particularly strong example of social desirability bias in movie reviewing. the first superhero movie with a female director & female lead = asshole movie critics too scared to say the truth

the truth is: this is how superhero movies were usually made before Sam Raimi's Spiderman movies/Iron Man reinvented the genre. silly, pointless running aroud in costume, no serious effort on dialogue or character development.

we've watched more than 10 movies in our life, & so we get bored with unimaginative, two-dimensional ones

Wonder Woman was one of the best films of 2017 regardless of what the white bunny says.

I don't know. That wasn't in the movie. Ask the white bunny "rooster": he seems to have answers for everything.

What wasso stupid about Wonder Woman was the fact that Ares is the one who told her that she was the godkiller. If he hadn’t told her she wouldn’t have believed she could defeat him and therefore wouldn’t have defeated him.

Also if she’s a god killer, how it it that should couldn’t handle superman when he resurrected? Surely someone who can kill gods can also kill superman.

    1. Ares wasn't a 'real' god. Very powerful being yes, but not a god in the supernatural sense.
    2. He told her about her true nature in an attempt to lure her to join him as they were alike, not to just saying, "Oh by the way, you are capable of killing me" (he didn't died anyway).

It is a well directed, well acted film loaded with fun and adventure that was able to capture the same kind of innocent sense of wonder that the first 'Superman: The Movie" achieved. The first part of the film in Themyscira island was plain great, the sequence in London fish-out-of water was lots of fun, her initial battle with the German soldiers was awesome and I concede that her final fight with Ares was disappointing. Still, in view of the lack of quality films on 2017 and particularly a summer that saw more critical & box office flops than hits, 'Wonder Woman' stands tall above the rest. Of all the 2017 blockbusters, WW was the most satisfying film, something I thought was going to be 'Star Wars: The Last Jedi" and unfortunately it wasn't.

Translation: Panchyprsss liked Gal Gadot in it.
Which is weird because she's 20 years older than what he usually jerks-off to.

Good break down, although I disagree the film lived up to it. I think you have to separate a bad year of quality films from causing you to overrate WW. I thought it was okay but I respect your opinion, after all I enjoyed Batman v Superman enough that I’ve watched it 4 or 5 times and most everyone else thinks that film is shit so to each his own.

    Fair enough.
I plain hated 'Batman v Superman' to the point I have not watched 'Justice League' just because of the bad taste that prior film left in my mouth.

What's so bad at liking a 20 year old female? You know, half the age of 40?
