In retrospect, no fighter called 'Vivian' was ever gonna amount to shit.

Translation: Maskaev is white, so you like him even though he wasn't that good

    Tua for me, too.

    Mine would be Rocky Juarez.

Guy had the talent and power was too passive to let his hands go.

With all the titles out there, thought for certain he'd win one.

Maskaev wasn't "that good", that much is true. He also arrived in America with no representation or management worth a damn which is why a guy who would go on to hold a brace of KO wins over the former HW Champ {one either side of South Africa} was being farmed out to guys like McCall to feed on.

Irony of it all being that, supposedly, White heavies have all the advantages and get all the breaks. Maskaev got none of them, fighting guys like Tua and McCall as early as his 12th fight. He had Tua beaten but ran into some very late fire, which is pretty impressive going considering the far more cautiously managed {and infinitely less likeable}Ruiz was blasted out in a minute.

Why did you think Tua was the truth? I guess 11 rounds of being outboxed by OH MY GOD AMAPASSED OUT shitty Maskaev must have done it for you??

Brazier was a terrific journeyman, though... If you could get by him, you were a top ten contender... if not, just have a seat... just go on and have a seat right over there

Aaron Davis performing in-ring plastic surgery on Pazienza's filthy, retarded-looking goombah face was fucking great

Who else besides me didn't think Joe Hipp would be a champion after his rugged fight with Tommy Morrison? He had it all...American-Indian heritage, boxing gloves, and some other stuff.
