The only fighter who has any slim, slight, thin, little, teeny weeny chance, is Roy Jones shadow reserve, Shane Mosely, he's got perhaps a slim to none chance,..

I mean really,..:dunno: what's not impressive about Floyd's last 3 performances??..does he look like a fighter who could ever be beaten?...

Anyone who says that Paul Williams, or any other pretender has a chance against Roy's vicarious extension, should be chased off this messageboard.

I dont think Paul's overrated. None's calling him the P4P or anything, he is what he is. A young, very good fighter who realistically very well could be the best welter out right now. Also stylewise he has the best chance of beating Floyd, thats a fact. Cotto, Hatton, Mosley, none of those guys posses Paul's height, range, and workrate. I'm not saying Williams WOULD beat Floyd, obviously Floyd would be favored for good reason, but he'd be an extremely live underdog.

    agREED...

Though Margarito-Williams was an INTRIGUING Enough Match-Up that REED COULDN'T Predict a Winner,REED was NEVER Impressed by Margarito...

Margarito LOSING wasn't a Huge Surprise,so REED ISN'T about to Overrate a Guy for BEATING a Guy that NEVER Impressed REED N the 1st Place...

Now Peeps See "NO WAY" Floyd can Beat Paul Williams???:dunno: ...

REED Admits that Williams is as "DIFFERENT" a Style as Floyd would Ever Face, but the Guy DOESN'T Have Power...& Sorry, but he's NOT NEARLY as Fast & Athletic as he Looked vs Margarito:nono: ...If he COULD Punch, then even REED would likely FAVOR Williams to Beat Floyd, but he CAN'T...

    & He's EASY to Hit...

Let's C a Williams vs Cintron Unification,w/the Winner Moving into Unification Fights w/ELITE Welters...That Makes PERFECT Sense to REED...

I'm totally against overrating guys off of one good performance but when I made my comment I was taking the guys style into accord. I will not sway from my stance that the guy is one of the most dangerous guys in the division. Does that mean he beats Floyd? Maybe, maybe not, but he does have the style to outpoint him to a decision win. The guy uses his height and reach to full advantage, ties up when he gets in trouble and damn near runs to keep his distance. He also has a good motor. My only question is how tough he really is. There was a couple rds I thought Margarito had him ready to go with body shots, but both times he was just fine the very next rd. This is why I say (and was the first to do so) that he will likely only be beaten (for now) by a stoppage. Is he overrated? Maybe, but not by me. All I'm saying is he's top 5 and dangerous for anyone in that circle including Floyd.

You know who he should fight next? Clottey. I think that's a tough style for both guys and they're both 2 of the more dangerous not worth the risk fights out there. Rather than be stagnant and avoided by everyone they should fight each other.

Clottey's got a very, very good LEGAL defence,..he seems to bend his spine like a snake, and shifts backwards just a fraction to avoid incoming body shots while keeping his head in a tight armadillo ball,...... in these sad times where more and more fighters are incorperating that Illegal shoulder roll shit, I truelly admire Joshua Clottey's method, and when he pressures his way in, he's got a lethal arsenal of explosive combination punching,.. I agree that he's going to be avoided,..and if I were Margarito, I wouldn't go near him again,..

What's suspect about Clottey though, is his stamina, and mentallity ofcourse, (My haaands are painningggg meeee) :nono: tsk tsk..

Couldn't agree more. I have become a fan of Paul Williams since he beat my boy Santos Pakau.(good fighter in my gym here, really cool with my son). He is a very personable guy from what Santos told me. The matchup with Cintron makes sense from all angles and would be great to clean up the division a bit.

I dont know if Manny is ready to stick Kermit in with Williams yet. Right now, he's rebuilding his confidence by destroying a string of 2nd tier guys.

Cintron's alot bigger than Margarito,..he rivals Paul a little bit for size,.. while everyone in the division will be doing thier best to keep away from Williams,..I think Williams might be advised to keep away from Cintron.

Agree 100%, these are Clottey's biggest and possible main weaknesses. It's funny, I once compared Clottey to an early form of Quartey (an assessment I still stand behind) and here he is with the same stamina issues Quartey used to have.

What exactly did Quartey do in his career that is so impressive? He basically lost to everyone good he faced.

Destroyed Espanda and Philips, beat Carr convincingly, beat Lopez(bad decision) arguably beat DLH, beat Forrest(BS decision).

I'd say that eclipses anything Clottey's done, who's biggest win was over a shot, way above best weight Corrales.

Not to mention, Ike was just alot more talented and better in every possible category.
