They werent bitching because of a FIX.....the stoppage was quick, but the outcome would have been the same no matter. All Herb did was save Ken from eating 10 or so more elbows, because Tito was pummeling him


The real shame on the card was the bore of a fucking show that Sylvia and Arlovski put on

Actually I think Shamrock should be as happy as can be with the stoppage. It appeared to be bullshit, was definately a little early, but based on the events of the 1st minute it became painfully obvious that what we all expected was indeed true, Shamrock was simply going to get his ass beat. As a result he can claim BS stoppage, have droves of followers swear to it, all while escaping the ring without taking much of a beating at all.

 

Shamrock's too old and too weak to compete. He gets taken down so easily and his stamina is not up to par. Retirement is his best option and training future prospects. Although I don't know how much legitimacy the 'Lion's Den' still has. According to TUF 3, most of his pupils got their asses beaten. It's probably on par with HammerHouse. I think most of the TUF fighters could butcher Shamrock, including Kendall Grove and Bisping especially. Shamrock's finished.

 

After finnaly seeing this fight , the stoppage was definetly premature ...
Tito landed 2 good elbows - the rest mostly hit Shamrock in the upper chest near his neck but on the chest ... They said Shamrock wasn't deffending himself properly but , if you look at the stoppage , the reason why Last few elbows from Tito did not hit their mark was because of Shamrocks arm ...

Anyway , I don't think it was any kind of fix and Shamrock should just retire but , lets face it , Shamrock was ripped off of the chance to even try to win.

 

True, but Shamrock is crap these days anyway. You saw with your own eyes how Tito Ortiz tried everything he possibly could to get Randy Couture down on his back for 5 rounds. Nothing worked. Randy toyed with him, smacked him around like a little monkey, even gave him a spanking literally at the end of the fight to show who was Daddy.:jester:
To see Randy toy with Ortiz so easily and to see Shamrock get thrown on his back so quickly, it goes to show what kind of level Shamrock is at. He's no elite fighter, never was. Who did he ever beat? He's lost every significant fight.
He couldn't even compete in King of the Cage.

 

Yeah - Shamrock is done ... He should have retired years ago ...
Though I do think a prime young Shamrock beats Ortiz. Not because of what Shamrock is - because of what Ortiz isn't ...

 

But how good was a prime young Shamrock, really? The fighters back then weren't as talented as today. The Severns, Kimos, Gracies, Taktarovs, etc. Good fighters no doubt, but from 10 years ago. The only clean good wins Shamrock has are 2 wins over Kimo and 1 over Severn. Everything else was a loss or a draw against the likes of Gracie, Taktarov, etc. And about everything else in Shamrock's early career was against cans.
