youre safe, o'grady probably still has you beat in that department. You may want to reveal the names of these world class fighters you've been sparring with, though. So fightbeat can stop wondering who exactly it was that beat the objectivity out of you.

It's funny, but the Tyson faithful typically like to argue that his prime came to a sudden, dramatic end when he fought Douglas. While leaving your prime and being shot are probably two different things ( I suppose), Tyson at the tender age of 23 was relatively young.

Wow I forgot about him, his stock skyrocketed and plummeted just about harder than any boxer I can think of.

Courtney Burton and Ebo Elder were both pretty young when they ruined eachother, no?

Yeah I'll put my hand up and admit I thought that guy had some real potential. Bad call on my part.

    Marteze Logan.

I know the obvious answer to that would be, "DUH!," but I met him in 2005 when he was 21, and he sounded almost as bad as Meldrick Taylor.

David Reid was shot right after the Tito Trinidad fight. He lost to a freaking cop for christ's sake! Some Olympic hero....

To me,it seemed like Bojado just stopped training as hard. Lost a fight, then completely vanished from the face of the planet for a couple of years. Came back and (if I remember correctly) lost again and has since again vanished.

His problem seemed to be more like he didn't want to do boxing for a living.

I'd like to nominate Ricky Williams before he went to jail. I remember he looked completely shot when he suffered his first lost.

    excellent choice

I would also add Alfonso Zamora

the great Tony Canzoneri was essentially used up at 26 or 27, though he hung around a while longer

Yeah thinking about it, Bojado is a very bad choice.

Nothing about him was "shot", he simply had no desire to be a fighter.

I remember an old article, stating that
old timer's Terrible Terry Mcgover was basically shot in his mid 20's

Depending upon who you listen to, it is perfectly possible that Tyson was apparently entirely shot by the age of 23...

    MTF :boring:
