The fight was at 154 for Santos' belt in Puerto Rico...but only the result matters.

And Steve Forbes lost to Demetrius Hopkins.

I never said Santos was great, or even better than good. But you don't get to the level he did by "sucking" or being "average", IMO.\

But thanks for the non-post. It appears there's challengers everywhere I look.

Average fighters are the fighters we don't hear about.

Fringe contenders or lower-end top 10 guys, are in actuality, far better than "average".

Challengers? Hell, half the tiffs you get in is 90% because of your smart mouth. Personally I'm just sick of your better than thou attitude. By the way, love the "non-post" phrase you continue to use in your many tiffs, keep it up and I'm sure it will catch on.

No, and I didn't say that it was but that "was the Verdict"...if we're simply going by the scorecards.

The fact is, the decision was criticized and IMO deservedly so but perhaps what goes on in the ring doesn't matter as much as what goes on ringside.

 Durden is the guy who coined the phras e"non-post" and thats the first time I've used it since. Why? Because you said nothing but some stupid "oooh, ooh, take that" reply to a post that asked a genuine question. Feel free to search for it, fella.

And because I asked a question, I have a smart mouth? Jesus. I'm not the one making statements about former world champions "sucking" and what not. I'm asking for an explaination. Thats what these places are for, mate.

    LOL @ tiffs. Please.

Yeah, he was one of the most hyped of the Olympians that turned pro in his class. He never lived up to that hype, and his early setbacks to Jantuah and Kotiev certainly took a lot of the bloom off...but he eventually became a solid champion.

Bingo. It's like if you aren't a P4P'er, some super popular fighter or someone you can nuse to prop up one of your favourites, you suck. Gimmie a break.

Santos was never as special as made out to be when he turned pro, but the guy did some business along the way and gave a lot of quality fighters tough fights. Some of which he creamed.

The guy who finally took his title (Sergei) is a real good fighter and it's a shame nobody stateside even cares to take a look.

But then again, if you even stick up for some of these guys...ohh, you're just, so hollier than thou.

    2 Words for Margarito...

Fair enough, bro. You honestly are entitled to your opinion...it just irks me when guys of Santos' caliber are slammed on these boards....especially when it seems that its being done just to downplay someone else.

That wasn't to downplay any one fighter in particular...just that there are no real stars in the division. Actually, there is very little elite talent there either.

    But point taken.

Well, every fighter takes his chances he goes into an opponent's country...and Margarito did it twice.

He also moved up in weight for the fight...even though he had no problems making 147.

The "Stop...Or even DROP" standard you've conveniently invented is completely irrelevent.

    Nice.

Utterly ridiculous. Paulie's so bad, I'd actually favor Judah over him.
