Somewhere in the sky - Ali, Louis, Marciano, and Frazier are all sitting around together laughing their asses off at the current division.
He was very crude every for his time but if they were even close to the same size Marciano would kill him. Fury is pathetic.
if Marciano was the size of Fury, he would be even more slow and plodding than he already was. In a real fight (which is the only thing that counts in hw boxing), Fury destroys Marciano
Dumb comparaison, since Marciano was fighting in the same division as Fury (yeah I know, he might maybe have been a CW if he was fighting now), while GGG does not
No, not "might" have been. Marciano WOULD have been a cruiser had the division existed since then. He was the very definition of a cruiser. Too big to be a lightheavy, yet really too small for what the heavyweight division would become. I've said before, that had Marciano been around at the inception of the cruiserweight division, he'd have made the division far more popular than it ever was. You act like Rocky lacked ability, which couldn't be further from the truth. You don't have to be Floyd, Roy, or Leonard to have "ability". Marciano had crushing power that he couldn't be taught, great physical strength that couldn't be taught, and some of the best stamina ever.... something else that can't be taught. What in the living fuck does Fury have? A mouth, that's about it.
I can't take you too seriously when it comes to Fury since you claimed Wlad would crush him. YOu obviously arenT' able to see the things that makes him an excellent fighter. It's pretty troubling that a boxing fan can't realise that a 6-8 man that his as fleet footed and loose with his movements as Fury is very hard to beat.
Agreed. This p4p matching is silly. If Fury were Marciano's size, he would be much faster than he is now, and have totally different skill set, too. Since he is 6'8, he needs to do what works for 6'8. Saying that Fury only does well because of his size is the same as saying that Mqrciano only did well because of his power and chin. Give Marciano Chris Byrd's punch and Floyd Patterson's chin and let's see how good he really is
I won't even entertain this thread anymore. Ugo and JOM are basically trolling defending this bipolar scrub and Marciano is rolling in his grave at the mere comparison.
I have been accused if trolling or playing devil's advocate before, but I am actually serious, I am this stupid if you will. Nobody ever complains about Tommy Hearns or Bob Foster being successful because of being tall
Fury really looks badly out of shape. Even if he gets back in to shape and comes back to fight this year, I do favour both Wilder and AJ to beat him.
Fury beat a way past prime gun-shy wald in a boring as fuck fight - and suddenly he's better P4P than Marciano? ::
If Marciano was fighting today, he'd be a cruiserweight. How about if Fury boils down to 85kg? It's a P4P matchup.
Like I said, they're trolling. Any attempt at a Fury vs Marciano comparison is a troll. Comparing a great fighter and a talentless oaf.
